Hi! I think you forgot one important caveat here: Whoever starts first, should not attack the other. Otherwise he gets an unfair advantage.
I'm not good at 1v1 and know I will be eliminated early, probably in the first round. But I'd like to try

That's a good idea and I will possibly implement that when we do this tournament the next time around.
