I can see it helping in certain aspects of English. I believe it depends whether it is coupled with a solid education in the proper use of the Queen's.

I would guess that the true correlation is that the kids with phones tend to be the wealthier ones who' s parents likely speak better from the start and who go to better schools and/or have tutors if needed.
