I looked at it, but since I only get one game, and I'm already playing at least 5 of those with you, I'm gonna go for a bit of varietyiamkoolerthanu wrote:jrh_cardinal wrote:now I will retreat into some big non-speed game and let others get their medalsiamkoolerthanu wrote:Casual, classic terminator:

Game 6983976 - whacked some more lousy, lazy good-for-nothing mods
But... It was so artistically done.

Re: Whac-A-Mod 3 Weekend
if a game is listed in the whac-a-mod 3 tournament games section, but is completely empty, and we know it's password, are we allowed to join it?

Re: Whac-A-Mod 3 Weekend
I'm still not convinced that these games should be allowed to be 1 vs 1 and freestyle. My reasoning for this suggestion is to ensure moderators/volunteers don't farm players who are desperate for the medal. I think the element of fair play should prohibit farming of slower or less competant players to an extent, after all, this is just a fun contest, nobody deserves to be exploited. Not to mention that it could jeopardise the fun element of the Community vs CC Team concept. I'm hanging around for a variety of different games to pop up, I'll be checking back!
Keep it up and keep them coming, volunteers/mods!

Play in one game at a time... but once you're in a 6-player casual game, you're pretty much done for the event... bah, should have paid more attention to what I was doing. ah, well.

You act like medals are made of GOLD--LOL
It is for fun and really are you that worried about someone getting a virtual medal--thanks for the laugh this morning (as usual)

List of doubles games has been updated.
I'll be also creating a bunch of 1v1 Crossword games really soon (casual but more or less real time), come if you dare!

Re: Whac-A-Mod 3 Weekend
'k, I'll try to join the rt games as soon as I get a slot open.
I like FoxMists and JB's games. Not sure about the colonels. Don't really know how Masli expects anyone to play him on AoR2, same with Amazzony on Crosswords.
I really think FM had a good idea with her games, they're pretty varied and the settings are quite nice as well. Just think that some mods may have a bit too much of an advantage having lots of games on maps they're pretty good at. (for normal times it's ok, just not sure if it's fair for the competition, unless the point is to beat the mods on their best map...). I guess I may be pretty biased in not liking AoR, city mogul etc, and so not really comfortable playing them there.
Anyway, looks like the comp. is going well, and I look forward to seeing some more varied ways to finding the pw's as well. trivia questions are cool, like Sam mentioned, but I didn't mind going through msn to get the pw for Fox either. You guys could really make it interesting with this, maybe make some more quests to go through FB, twitter etc to find the pw. Maybe make some forum topics active as well by posting some pw's in tournies, put it in some random peoples/mods walls where we have to search it out by answering a riddle, using anagrams etc. Obviously you could keep it simple for those who don't really want the challenge, but it would make it interesting.. For example, if some of the col/brig mods are worried about losing points on maps they're not good at, they could use these challenges so that it makes the winner more deserving.
(Edit: Nice one on Tallinn as well Amazzony
)
But anyway, these are just some ideas floating about, I'm not too sure about how they'll be looked upon. still, overall, good job!

Re: Whac-A-Mod 3 Weekend
Yeah, good game! I'm taking a bit of a battering from the community with some bad dice for both sides. My personal score is 3-7 after two hours, with two games left. Should be 4-6 but one game with sdh was turned head over heels when it looked certain that I was going to win. Anyways, should be 5-7 soon.downfall wrote:one and done+ Game 6984762 good game.
