Remove or relocate the new 'Share' tab *Done*

The addition of the 'Share' tab that now appears on every single page of CC has greatly slowed down the speed that the pages load into the browser. It is also located in the most ridiculous position (top right of page) so that every time the cursor passes over it - which is frequent when enlarging a window - there's another lengthy delay while the (unwanted) pop-up appears.

This has seriously impaired my enjoyment of the site. Am I alone?

Suggested fix is to either have a link instead of the pop-up or to relocate it somewhere on the page where a cursor isn't likely to pass over it so often.

You maybe have a nice state-of-the-art PC so it's not affected by it, but it gets me every time. My pointer turns into a hand and then there's a 7 second (that's ages) delay before I can click on what I was intending to go for (usually the 'Restore' or 'Close' tab in the corner of my window).

Am I the only one running a dinosaur of a PC (it is pretty old, which explains why I can't win freestyle or use any of these add-ons that abound on here). I'm sure there must be others who are frustrated by 'Share This', or at the least its location. Why can't they put it above the Twitter tab in the left margin, away from gameplay manoeuvres.

My laptop isn't all that fast, but mine goes right over it, with no delay

maybe you've got pop-ups disabled so you don't experience that delay when the cursor touches the tab? Anyway, that aside if your laptop isn't too quick then it's certainly slightly slower now due to the loading of that 'Share This' info each time you load a page. I can see its name in the bottom left of my browser as it loads so I know that's what's slowing me down.

I agree with CoF, and don't like the new tab. If I wanted to play facebook games and "share" things with people like that, I would spend more time on facebook. The spam potential of the share function is also likely to prove a nightmare in the coming months. I have noticed a speed disparity with the share function as well. Though that could just be CC, as often CC will be slow for me when other sites like youtube, gmail, google etc are working at normal speed.

No, you're not alone!

I also find it irritating. I don't experience the long delay that you do, but I keep accidentally mousing over it on my way to close windows, minimize windows, or select tabs on the right side of my browser. I also dislike the time-delayed close.

Well asking you is probably a waste of time if you can't read a simple subject line "Remove or relocate....."

There are already suggestions from myself and Tisha - why don't you read those first?

Try not to make this a stand against the "man" please. Being rude will not make things move faster. If you dont have anything more to add to the suggestion, then i advice you get more support from the community.

i agree with cof...its not drastically slowing down my games but it is annoying when i hover over it...
and im sure if i was to play speed games it would effect me...

a better place for it may be in the personal menu

Err well I changed my mind about posting it publicly.

Do you have greasemonkey? Greasemonkey/Firefox are required for it to work properly.

I also have a slow computer (1.7ghz laptop) but I haven't seen a delay on the share tab.

However, I do agree it's annoying when it pops up. I would rather have it as a clickable button.

there is a firefox add-on that will block any part of a page from loading before it loads... Its a small add-on. I use it. No share tab aqui.

I've got Firefox but I haven't used it in ages. It was really clunky (surprisingly) and IE was so much smoother. Also BOB stooped working for me a year or more ago and I haven't used Firefox since. I guess I'll have to stick with good old IE6 and keep manoeuvering around that Share tab with mt pointer.

lol thanks. Someone else once was astonished I didn't run BOB or other stuff. I actually remember the occasion I gave up with it - over a year ago playing Conquerman and I had to click 'Retry' 15 times before it loaded. Drove me nuts.

I have an inordinate amount of time to spend looking at each game and every move (I open dozens of windows which is why that Share tab bugs me more than most probably, as it gets in the way every time I maximise each screen) and write reams in chat. In a way I am BOB, which is why I don't miss it.

I would like to add my support to this suggestion. I don't hit the same 7-second wait that Chariot of Fire does, but it's definitely a noticeable (and highly annoying) delay.
