We've got some tricks up our sleve in the second half

Upset in the realm of possibility :-$

I just noticed DarthBlood retired. That's a damn shame. I had the pleasure of playing with him back when I first started playing team games, and I enjoyed his company.

He was the one who helped me get AoC off the ground, but he decided to move on

11-5?

Our magical dice are about to lead a furious comeback. I can feel it. Or that is just the day beers talking. You never really know.

13 -7 after the first batch is finished, I'm quite sure. It will be hard to come back with a win, but we will do our best.

You've done well so far. You've handed a few of our better players their first losses on some maps, myself included.

All games of the 2nd set have been added to the first post, and the score should be current.

Nope, you missed one; guess you didn't expect singles to be already completed, 4:1 my way

*shrugs* I got real lucky.

Yes, I did. Your win for the single games counted as AoC's 6th victory (see first post). Congrats.

At the time I mentioned that, your title (as of 11-something a.m.) still showed 5 ;)

Bump ...

Counting basically decided games: IA 20 - AoC 14 (probably 15)

Being my usual pessimistic self, I am not counting this as a win yet. Could come down to 1 or 2 games in the end ...

O:)

Looks like 21-14 to me. And i strongly doubt that we can bring all the rest of the games home... I would be happy if we can come back in the second batch with half of the victorys (or something very close to it) - we just couldn't come back after an opening like that. Think we are slowly improving as a team though - Rome just wasn't built in a day ;)

Congtrats on the victory, and good luck in the next stages!

Correction ... looks like we meet in the playoffs. IA slipped past us the last week.

Well, it is still possible if they can get by TSM or BPB (whoever advances to the playoffs) ;)

looking forward to our matchup though Bruce

With Game 6611009 to AoC, it's 20-14 now. IA's likely to take most (not all) of the rest of the games, but at least we didn't make their victory as easy as it appeared during the first half.

Edit: Make that 20-15, Agents just took Austerlitz

With Iraq finished, IA has acquired our 21st win, and advances on to Round 2.

I want to congratulate the Agents of Chaos for a tough challenge and on many games well played.

Also, from looking through the game chats, I'd like to personally apologize to AoC if things got out of hand at times. This challenge was like none I've ever seen, with lopsided dice and drops on both sides, ours included, in a large number of games, and it did at times get the best of some of our players.

It would have been really interesting to see what the outcome would have been were we all provided with more even circumstances, as I know players from both sides feel as if games were stolen from them by the dice and drops, but shit happens, and I hope there are no lasting hard feelings.

Your clan is a healthy combination of good players, good trash talkers, and sexy cheerleaders, and based on my communication with Namor and Eyestone, your clan has very deserving leaders. Namor, if you're ever looking for a teammate, I'd accept an invite without hesitation.

Now...

*high-steps out onto the field, pon-poms in hand, shaking them high, shaking them low, with a whoop for the talents of the losing side, and a big cheer for the talents of the winners... "Give me an I, Give me an A!..." leaps high, then executes a smart pirhouette mid-air to land in a split at Master Fenrir's feet.

Congrats, guys!

I have to say that ahunda and myself came up with a plan to keep Eyestone as a hostage in Iraq and request you on a platter :) But at the end we were merciful and it seems our kindred spirit was rewarded with that voluntary cheering :)

Now if you did that at the beginning Fenrir would have lost all of his games :)

Congratulations to IA for topping the 20 mark and for a victory well earned.

That's generous of you Fen, we'll put a lot of those rants (on both sides) down to gamesmanship... I know our only chance of beating you, was to disrupt your normal flow ;)

Master Fenrir wrote:Namor, if you're ever looking for a teammate, I'd accept an invite without hesitation.

Are you getting fresh

I'll just give you long enough to lose that erection, then I'll take you up on that.

Master Fenrir wrote:I look forward to the sweet, sweet love we will make to celebrate my many victories.

We'll all head over to your place and throw our keys to the middle of the table and have an almighty love in.

Mind you, nobody from IA would fancy pairing up with me... this is the guy who, as a child, was hired out for Halloween.
