What does this clan offer me?

You're 2nd in charge... but my rank is higher; so why would I think you can train me?

If you join that clan, there will be a few benefits.

1. You will find a regular dubs partner that you can join games with.

2. You will get some experience being in a clan which will also help you.

3. In all likelihood you will get better at team games-and your rank will go up.

Thank you for the input.

I don't want to "just join any clan" so that is why I am asking.

Do you think these benefits apply to joining any clan or are you recommending this caln in particular?

OK

Aside from being part of a group and benefitting with team-play.

What other reasons would you put forth as good reasons for joining this specific clan?

Thanks - Jim

I would say joining one such as the one mentioned is in your best interest now for the following reason.

Any of the top clans aren't going to currently accept you, they will ask what you bring to the table to make the clan better and the answer, unfortunately, for now is nothing. You have little experience and haven't proven yourself much since you just started the site.

However, there are many clans who try to get better as a clan and are all about teaching players and learning to get better together. This is a good route to learn to play better and get some experience and then you can later reevaluate which clan you would like to be a part of.

That or you can go without a clan for a while and try to find regular playing partners. Get good playing as a team and get some experience and then try to go to a better clan.

jim, honestly, are you really this self-absorbed? Figure it out yourself.

You are a prospective employee, not customer. It is not a clans job to break down one by one why you should choose that clan, it is YOUR job to impress a caln enough for them to OFFER you a spot in their clan.

PS Please DO NOT join try to join the Grim Reapers. If our leaders put you up to join I will honestly leave.

Yes. I guess I am that self-absorbed.
Thank you for noticing. :)

I understand this is like a job interview in some ways. I get that.

I also get the fact that I don't just take the first job offered.

I know I have to show a prospective employer that I can add value to their organization. I also have to believe that the employer/position is going to work for me. That I will like it. That it will be a good fit for me. That I can make what I want to make. (... and that I can hop on CC during the day to take a turn.)

;)

Seriously though. I am personally much more concerned about a job being right for me... than me being right for the job. That view holds here as well.

BTW... thanks for the Grim Reapers notice. I won't apply. I am not interested in being somewhere I am not wanted.

Let's see,

Maprank on team games

7 of 34 (21%)

I would suggest you search out the clan that best fits and try it out. If you don't like it, you are free to leave and try another if they will accept you.

You can find the recruiting clans here:
viewforum.php?f=440

Clans prefer players that make the effort, given your first post, it would appear that most clans are going with "Not". You haven't even mentioned what you are looking for in a clan.

Any interested clan is asked to contact jimboston via pm.
