WWII Operation Iwo Jima [Quenched]

i was just wondering if you knew him and perhaps asked him to join, but anyway back to the map. I believe this map should cease not just because of you qwert but also because of the fact most people (look at the poll) do not want this map.

i think that these not fair, after 1 day of vote that eliminate these map, and people who give me a support in first vote maybe dont know that vote its change becouse andy.

you would probably have like a 70-90% approval if eastern front was fnished, alot of people are sour and want you to finish it and will reject whatever you do until it is finished....... guys give the guy a break

And perhaps neither do the people who said eliminate, besides, your last poll was written with bias... You can't just write anything as an option for a poll. Plus don't blame andy for removing your immature, stupid little post.. what are you 10 or something?

that would be biased so that most people wouldn't choose it...

despite this, both polls have been in the favour of NO, don't continue.

I think I said this before.

If you really must continue working on this map, do, but please don't complain when most people want you to throw any of your hard work away.

Plus, to all the people defending qwert, read what keyogi, teya and him have said first, on this thread and eastern front. I once said the same thing "stop giving qwert a hard time" .etc. I now realise the error of my ways.

The only way to get past qwert's stubborness is to keep on at him, he is the immature, stubborn, one who points the finger, not Keyogi or Teya

That will be very bad move, i say several times that if you forcing people to do something in force, then work will go in diferent way not in good way. People must vote if these likes not to put me ultimatum, and ultimatum its very bad thing.
And i mean that 1 day of vote its very small time for these decision.

WHAT?! did you read my post at all... before posting, make sure you UNDERSTAND and read all of the post before, I didn't write anything about forcing you to do anything...

I know this isn't what you said, but what you said was still a weighted/ biased question.

That is why i put

We are still in the general stage of whether this map should be done (independent on how it is made afterwards), or not?

So, my general thoughts:

I kind of like the idea of having important battlegorunds as a map.
But sorry, I didn't know of this operation before.

And I wouldn't want to see hundreds of maps of more or less important WWII battles.

So I say: Let's first create more important ones, like WW II Eastern Front, D-Day, Pearl Harbor, Waterloo, American Civil War or something that was really important for some other region.

So Isay: No!
But please create some other, more interesting ones!

(You dont know for Iwo jima??)Socralynnek i not the only map author here, let others create D-Day,Perl Harbor and others WW2 maps(Waterlo its Napoleonic War, And American Civil war its not WW2). You dont need to say no just vote.

I think a big part of this map should be focused on the main mountain on that island. If I remember correctly the US's main strategy was to capture the hill because the cannons on it could reach any part of that island.

I would make the cannons able to attack any space more than 2 territories away from them. I would also do the same for the Navy. Give them both the ability to attack nearly any space on the map.

you could give tanks a +2 bonus to range and a -1 for troop penalty because they were perfect targets for the cannons.

I would also consider minimizing bonuses a great deal and focus most of the map on strategic strongholds such as cannons, air fields and navy. You could even make anti air cannon territories that can only attack the air fields.

Thos are just some of the thoughts I had to make it more like the actual battle was instead of another race for bonuses.

If you could pull this off I think it would become an extremely popular map for those of us who love playing strategically rather than letting the dice do all the work.

Have you ever seen that picture of those soldiers raising our flag on top of a mountain? here take a look somebody already posted it on this thread.

that picture right there is pretty much the source of what kept our military funds alive. Not important? Because of that picture and the affects it had on the US I would think this battle was very important.

People say that want to se more maps of WW2, but when i see in Developmental Atlas i look that only 1 project its work(WW2 europe Theatre in vacation). I dont know whene these site it build, but nobody work in these maps. Why people dont want to create these maps can somebody answer in these question. I be very happy to se that someone else work in these maps to.
