Hiya, I am new to Conquer Club and being a massive fan of risk - this site rules!! I don't know if anyone played risk on the Playstation 1 but it offered a number of excellent additions to this classic game.
1) CAPITALS - At the start of the game you can lay a capital, which is your base, (if chosen as an option), eliminating the capital elimates the army.
2) FORTS - You could build forts to re-enforce your front line - each fort had a little number next to it I think it was out of 40, and if your fort gets hammered- at the start of your go, when you are laying down your new troops you can repair any damage done to the fort in previous rounds.
3) Mystery Power ups - The PS1 version offered many power ups like a cannon, if found could bomb a territory knocking up to 20% of the chosen territories men, super forts (with a higher number - like 80 instead of 40), super heroes - when some of your troops in a certain territory are superhuman etc.
4) Generals - You could add generals to mastermind your attacks!! Each general has a 1,2,3 and 4 rating, 4 being best.
5) JOKER CARDS - I am a big lover of joker cards, they make sets far easier to make, and 3 jokers means LOADS OF MEN!!!
Just a few thoughts, but as is, this is already my fave site!! I AM ADDICTED!!
Manys thanks to you all, and let the battles commence!!

Not sure if you're aware - but the card generator is completely random...Dr. Jim wrote:Wild cards are being introduced, but there are only two per deck.
The rest are just...not RISK.
In the board game certain territories are certain colours...
Here the territory and colour is randomly generated - One of my games had the same territory played 3 times in a row with 3 different colours!!!

I remember that crazy Risk version on the PlayStation....you could get generals, and use different tactics (i.e., Direct Assault, Echelon, Feint Right, Feint Left, and, my personal favorite: Recon in Force). I remember the canons going off, and alot of other crazy stuff, not to mention a really nice looking map(s). Yeah, fun....but not Conquer Club.
