Other: Saying that I should conduct secret diplomacy as opposed to open-diplomacy

I can't really make out anything he says that suggests that you should have conducted a secret alliance.

... Then again, I can't make out most of what he's saying at all. I have no idea what a "DM" (Direct Message) is. Hopefully, he doesn't mean a PM or something similar.

Actually, now that I examine it a bit more, it looks more to me like Dearbravesheep simply doesn't know or doesn't like the idea that making alliances in non-team games is allowed at all.

I still have never heard of anything commonly refferred to as a DM on this site, so I have no idea what the DM he is reffering to is.

I say, does dm mean direct message,
he says yes

in a nutshell that's what's in the conversation. It's not commonly used and I've never seen any one use that term before but he confirms it's meaning.

I get that, but again, I do not know what a DM is. On this site, it could be any number of things.

Read the chat in the game.

He says yes when I ask him if it means direct message. Don't take my word, read the chat please.

I'll ask in plain English, since you don't seem to be getting what it is I'm asking.

What IS a direct message?
How EXACTLY is one sent on this website?
Is it anything like a PM, E-mail, public or privat chat message, anything like that?

Well let's see. What the most direct way of sending someone a message. In the chat? Seriously doubt it. and according to the rules diplomacy anywhere but chat is forbidden.

As far as I know there is no DM on this site, he had his terms mixed up.

Actually, to me, and in game chat message DOES seem like the most direct method of contacting someone. Although that does make what he said make little to no sense.

Not really certain, I would need to know what he considers a direct message.

2010-03-14 18:48:52 - dearbravesheep: wow dude you should've sent that in a dm, teaming up on someone is not cool.
2010-03-14 19:12:37 - forestwolf42: I believe DM means "direct message" and I hope you meant something else because if you did mean direct message what you said made no sense at all
2010-03-14 21:45:28 - dearbravesheep: yes dm means direct message... The reason I say that is because this is a standard game, a free for all, and yes he is threat to me as well I just think openly teaming up is a little much.. Oh well

"You should have sent that in a dm"
"I just think openly teaming up is a little much..."

He says it should have been sent in unknown format, then he condemns the use of the in game chat mix up. I don't see how he could be referring to the in game chat when he says dm. it doesn't make sense and the rules do say: "Any form of diplomatic discussion between opponents must be posted in the game chat"

In simpler terms just the first post by bearbravesheep convicts him of asking someone to use secret diplomacy.
Lets go through step by step.
"Wow dude" refers to me who just suggested an alliance in game chat
"you should've" meaning I should have done something OTHER then what I did
"sent that in..." Whatever he says after this point is unimportant, because he used the word "should've" he wants me to send that in something else and sending that message in ANYTHING else is against the rules

Weather you decide suggesting to brake rules is or isn't the same as braking them is up to you, but he DID do it.

Pls forestwolf...he was merely laying some "tone" on you...he was threatening you....he wasn't advising you to do anything illegal, he was merely stating that you had signed your death warrant by allying against him...ALL legal...get a grip, he doesn't like your strategy and is trying to unsettle you and apparently is suceeding...
This is not well thought out on your behalf, mate...

There wasn't any rules broken here. I will NOTE this report because of what was said in the game chat.

2010-03-16 13:37:38 - dearbravesheep: I myself don't have a problem with it cause I am sure it happens often I am simply stating the fact that I think that's a little cold but oh well it's just a game right?
