The Basics
Each person that signs up will need to list the following
- Map Choice (No Repeats or Classic Allowed)
- Chained / Adjacent / Unlimited
- Spoils
- Fog of War (Yes / No)
- Initial Placement (Manual / Automatic)
Failure to do that will show you're not really paying attention and probably aren't a good person for the tournament.
Each person will randomly be assigned a number using random.org and then teams will be paired as 1 & 2 vs. 3 & 4, etc
Each match will be doubles and will consist of 5 games
- One game using each person's map / settings of choice (TOTAL 4 GAMES)
- One game using Automatic / Adjacent / Flat Rate / No Fog / Classic
Winning team moves on with each team member randomly assigned with someone else for the next round.
Final doubles match winners will square off in the 1 vs. 1 final (Best of three with one on each person's map and the third on the classic map)
This is a chance for you to show your skills and put your team on your back if you're stuck with a crappy partner. It's also a way to talk and teach members at a lower rank.
The minimum needed for this tournament is 32 with at least 4 alternates, but we'll go as high as 64 if we get the interest. I will keep the entrants and their maps updated, but settings will be pulled from their posts when needed to set up games.
