Repetends will be very useful in getting a 4 to equal a 9 BUT .4bar is equal to .44bar which is also equal to .444bar, so, where is the line drawn (except for, obviously, above the fours (that's a little math joke))?

57= (4!*√4)+ (4/.4bar)

where .4bar= .44444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444444 but is written only as .4 with a line above it.

Oh, sorry for the confusion. I agree with you that it will be useful (I was thinking the same thing) and all of those examples would be equivalent. The thing that wouldn't be very helpful is 4.4.... or 44.4.... since you end up using more of your digits straight away. :P

58 = (4!/.4)-4+√4
58 = (24/.4)-4+2
58 = 60-2
58 = 58

59=(4!/.4)-(4/4)
59=(24/.4)-(1)
59=60-1
59=59 :D
-qwertylpc :D 8-) :lol:

Well that helps me easily get the next one:

60=(4!/.4)+4-4
60=(24/.4)+4-4
60=60+0
60=60 :D

That was easy.

We have a bunch of easy ones now since we can do 60 so well. How high can we go?

61=(4!/.4)+4/4
61=(24/.4)+1
61=60+1
61=61

I have to say, I love this thread for showing me this game. A friend and I found the solutions up through 200, plus a few numbers such as 2010. It was a wonderful way to spend hours in a really easy class.

62 = √(√(√(4^4!))) - 4/√4

(used a weird way to do it because it will be SO helpful later on to you).
