first round

It will be a round-robin tournament at the beginning, then an elimination later on. Starting with 48 people playing 12 games each. I will divide up the groups (12 of them) using random.org. Every game will be best of 3.
There will be three full group games, and 9 1v1 games. Preemies, only sorry (you will need more than 4 games). In the 1v1 games, there will be points distributed; 1 per win, and 0 for a loss (best of 3, so 3 points per match-up). Each group match will be worth 3 points for the win, 2 for second, and 1 for third. First and second place both advance. That's a total of 24 people advancing.

second round

Next, the winners will be separated and play 1v1 with one of the winners from another group. three winners go on, three losers go on.

Then in the quarter-finals, the top three have a bye. The bottom three play to advance. Only one makes it.

rules

1. Maximum 1800 points (bottom of captain)for sign-up.
2. If you ever are a major at the start of a round, you will be disqualified. IF you are disqualified, the last person you eliminated will take your place. Of course, point dumping to meet this requirement will not be tolerated.
3. You have 2 invites to join your games, or a reserve will take your place.
