If I stretch my mind really wide, I can kindof understand why we haven't gotten the priviledge yet.
But, I don't understand why subforums in usergroup forums can't be done by e-ticket.
I'd just like 4 of them.

-Clan Business (news, polls, rules, tech, etc.)
-Interclan challenges / clan league
-Intraclan challenges / tournaments / ladders
-Off-topic

delete threads!

Postby Brann2006 on Sun Jan 10, 2010 10:25 am

I would love to have the possibility to delete old trash of threads as a clan leader/member.

Its getting pretty annoying to see over 1 years old trash threads that aint used the last year. I want them away. So is there any reason where these threads could be delete, and if not, MAKE ONE!

thx

well, its still not a possibility. So why not whine a bit more until they fix it. It cant be so hard...

On every other strategy game I've played this has been a possibility...so why not here aswell!?

With the poll sitting at a resounding 95% in favour, you'd think we'd have heard something :?

Considering O&H just split, there are a lot of threads in the forum made by people who are no longer in the clan. If the leader is able to delete these threads, it would reduce clutter.

Clan Leaders can delete threads

Postby BoganGod on Fri Apr 09, 2010 2:45 pm

Would be super if clan leaders could have the option of removing threads from clan forums.

This would improve the general appearance of a clan forum, and make said forum easier to navigate.

Yes I'm aware that this has been suggested before, would be super if the powers that be could have another look at it. Possibly give clan leaders a cut down version of the mods control panel options?

Won't accept that it would be difficult to program as an option, the people that keep this site running are kick arse, they can work something out :)

I absolutely agree. One of the problems is members who leave who forget to unsticky threads. We can't even unsticky threads. A little bit of control would definitely reduce clutter.

yes yes make a poll so we can see what leaders think. I am in great favour of this because there are just a few threads that are dead or constantly being spammed which is very annoying. Make a vote.

I agree. I am unsure of why they dont allow that already. I am guessing that the mods would like to keep the posts 'alive' just in case there are allegation of cheating or conspiracy ect. If this is the case, then perhaps give each clan forum a "junk bin" that they can transfer unwanted or outdated threads into.

Once place in the junk bin, they are no longer accessible to the clan, but the mods will have access to them if they ever need to dig up some info ect.

Is this a good compromise??

Brilliant idea wpack, might even be easy for them to set up. Possibly a wee bit like a player can partition their pm inbox. Would be useful to have a social page, war page, general page, and rubbish bin page.

And there would the the possible conflict of interest if a mod on another clan had to go into your clan forum to delete threads. Good idea wolfy.

Or at least give us power to lock them and edit them. I kinda understand why cc doesn't want to give clan leaders powers to delete threads, they don't do it often themselves (have they ever deleted a thread?)

We have threads in the sticky area of our forum, that we can't get rid of, because the author has left.

It's about time the Mods at least replied to this, but it looks like we're... ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

What we need, namor, if a phpBB modification from the phpBB folks. But there isn't much interest over there in creating the mod.

From what i can tell, the phpBB folks have no interest in giving what you guys want. Nothing we can do until they update. But then yet again, i could be in left field, or for all i know, be in the wrong stadium.

As I have mentioned several times in this thread. List the EXACT features and changes that this mod needs to have and I will work on coding it.
