Welcome to GameZZone, special place of amaZZony's favorite computer games!
Starcraft is over so it's time to move on to next game. This time I've made something simpler - both for players to understand and myself to run. I prefer Diablo II in a multiplayer mode but weāll play this tournament as single player games. Though in Diablo killing āneutralsā (different monsters) is the point then sadly we canāt make it here so youāll have to kill other players.
Diablo is a dark fantasy-themed action role-playing game developed by Blizzard North and released by Blizzard Entertainment on January 2, 1997. Diablo II, sequel to the game Diablo, is a dark fantasy-themed action role-playing game in a hack and slash or "Dungeon Roaming" style. Diablo II was developed by Blizzard North. The player assumes the role of a hero, fighting monsters while traversing over land and through dungeons. The storyline of Diablo II is played through four acts. Each act follows a predetermined path with preselected quests, although some quests are optional. Each act culminates with the destruction of a boss monster, upon which the player proceeds to the next act. Battle is conducted in real-time, using an isometric viewpoint. Players fight monsters to level their character up and gain better items. (Wikipedia)
This tournament is based on Diablo II, mixed with my imagination and will consist of 3 rounds (Difficulty Levels: Normal, Nightmare & Hell) that are divided into 4 sub-rounds (Acts). All games are Casual Number of players: 7 per game All other settings (Game Type, Map, Play Order, Spoils, Reinforcements, Initial Troops and Fog of War are random: decided by players who sign up - read more below, under Characters).
Hero who gathers the most points (experience) overall by the end of Hell level is crowned Champion!
Scoring 1st place: 21 points 2nd place: 13 points 3rd place: 8 points 4th place: 5 points 5th place: 3 point 6th place: 2 point 7th place: 1 point Killing a player: 1 point
Forming of games Normal and Nightmare games are made randomly with the help of random.org. People are put to games randomly with one exception: each game consists of only 1 player from each Character class (for example. Game 1 has only 1 Sorceress, 1 Amazon, 1 Barbarian, 1 Paladin, 1 Necromancer, 1 Druid and 1 Assassin). New groups for games will be formed after each act. Hell games are made according to overall standings with one exception: each game consists of only 1 player from each Character class (for example. Game 1 has only 1 Sorceress, 1 Amazon, 1 Barbarian, 1 Paladin, 1 Necromancer, 1 Druid and 1 Assassin). New groups for games will be formed after each act.
Settings of games All game settings are random based on how games are formed (according to what settings each Hero has picked). To add some excitement and variety then in different acts, different people (hopefully) get to pick some settings or all settings (depends on round, read above).
Characters In Diablo II (with expansion pack) there are 7 Characters (Heroes) to pick from and each of them has special skills and abilities. In this tournament each hero has different ability to pick one of the game settings (either Map, Play Order, Spoils, Reinforcements, FoW, Initial Troops or Game Type). Characters and their ability: Amazon - Map (all 142 maps allowed, except AoR and Feudal) Sorceress - Spoils (No Spoils, Escalating, Flat Rate) Barbarian - Reinforcements (Unlimited, Chained, Adjacent) Paladin - Play Order (Sequential, Freestyle) Necromancer - Fog of War (FoW ON, FoW OFF) Druid - Initial Troops (Automatic, Manual) Assassin - Game Type (Standard, Terminator)

A question redarding that: if killing a player =1 pt, is it possible, then, to score 14 points in 1 game? (8 for winning +6 for eliminating all 6 opponents)

Yep, that's it. It's added to give more motivation for making kills in games where stalemate might happen.
