List of busted Multi's

Post by mgconstruction »

Maybe we can have a "List of Shame" for busted Multi's.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:

It could possibly help deter people from making Multi's to avoid being on the list of shame and being embarrassed.

As of right now, they can buy back in with premium & unless we do a search on every player name we encounter there is really no way of knowing. Not to mention some are caught behind the scenes & their names are never made public for us to see.

It would give some of us who wish to not play with cheaters the names in which to add to our Foe list.

Or we could add something to their profile that Identifies them as being busted in the past. If you are worried about losing premiums because of this than make a "Busted Multi Medal" for them to enjoy.

Any better ideas are welcome :D

You can see all the multis on the GUESTS usergroup. Select a busted mutli in C&A and click on the group. You can see all 24000 busted members there.

But when they buy back in they are no longer that list?

eg
steve 3ah was busted but is not in that user group. Because he bought back in?
What good does the user group do us when some of us don't want to play with players who have been caught & are still playing?

They are off the list once they buy back in. If you don't want to play previously busted multis, use the C&A forum and the foe list together to limit your exposure.

I think having an easily accessible list of busted multi's is an excellent idea. An idea which if implemented would somewhat balance the sites prevailing philosophy.

At present the policy of 'buy back in and all is forgiven' proves that money is more important than honour.

That is not a good example within the site nor in wider society. A site sanctioned list at least adds a little stigma to the crime even if, as JP agrees, money is what is most important.

the one thing though with checking threw the list of "guests group" is that they are NOT all multis, in fact it is a mix of multis and banned members.

Yea clappy I figured that out too. I guess the only way right now is to go through C&a one thread at a time slowly adding all to foe list  This is why I was hoping something could be implemented to make that an easier task.
Suppose I could volunteer to make that list make it available to anyone wanting to adjust their foe lists? Or would that be out of line?
