Antarctica has mountains of madness which is a big plus, but you can swim anywhere in the Arctic if you just dig for long enough, which is kind of cool.

Antarctica will still be there after Al Gore's prophesy comes true. Of course, THAT will never happen, so I will go with the Arctic. Polar bears are awesome.

If you're playing at battleforces.com, the Arctic is better; one big ocean; your naval units can sneak through and come out anywhere on the board. Anarctic is okay, as it is one big landmass touching all zones, but it is a little further through from all land spaces.
