Re Establish Flame Wars!

PEople have been getting anrgier at mods and eachother for the past while come on this makes perfect sense so people can take out their anger on one another like u can make rules for it too. The only rules ud rlly ever want that might be needed are DOnt FLame Mods, No racism, and NO too vulgar pictures or u know

This will improve the following aspects of the site:

People can take out their anger and frustration
less bans from abusive comments and blah blah
just stress reliever and good humor and a good show

yes with over 7000 posts i remember flame wars...But im happy (as is many) that its gone.

But many are not because if we even accidentally even just a little bit offend someone its a 6 month ban (as seen in recent events) Theres no wrning its just bam!. It just would make sense to allow a place where players can just let out some steem and not get banned for it if u dont like it then u wouldnt have to go to it.

why killing theres freedom of speech as long as im not flaming. And w.e i will thts fine but doesnt make sense to me why it wouldnt be a good idea considering the circumstances that have been going on lately

There are plenty of warnings before you get a 6 month ban
you get...warning, 24 hours, 48, 72, week, month, then 6 months. Not to mention the mods posting friendly reminders for people to stay on topic etc etc. If you cant get the picture after 6 previous reminders....well perhaps we need flame wars to point it out to you....

This is not remotely true.

Personally, my biggest complaint about FlameWars is when a thread I was actively engaged in was surreptitiously moved to FlameWars - if I didn't notice it, I was suddenly subjected to that sort of activity without having any interest in it. That takes a lot of the shine off of "if you don't like it then you wouldn't have to go to it". Even worse, the thread was now moved even though I was still having decent discussions within it...discussions that were now subject to the rules of FlameWars. That's simply unworkable.

Fighting does not make peace, it makes more fighting.

It is simply against human psychology to think that people are getting mad, because they dont have a place to get mad. If they want to not get mad, they simply have to find a way of dealing maturely and not losing their temper.

Giving them a place to lose their temper, would only increase temper.

I admit its fun, and maybe even semi-harmless, but the logic is still flawed.
