guffaw

(ducks fan)

I don't deny the Ducks, they're great, perhaps even the early favorite going in (pre-trade deadline, a lot can change with that) but I'm talking the franchise as a whole, management, farm, current roster, attendance, fan following nationally, past 15 years. Few teams can touch Detroit in that respect.

Certainly. It would be ludicrous of me to compare the ducks franchise (13 or so years old, four playoff appearances, 0 stanley cups) to the freakin' red wings... especially since two of the ducks' playoff losses were to the wings.

It's just one of those funny times in hockey where southeast division teams win stanley cups and the ducks and preds and sabres and sharks are at the top of the point standings.

But the wings are in that rarefied tier of franchises (yankees, red sox, celtics, lakers, bears, packers, cowboys, canadiens, etc.) that are basically untouchable when it comes to overall strength of the franchise.

my avatar is a diagram explaining "fan death", a phenomenon commonly believed to exist by the people of South Korea. They seem to think that, if you leave a fan running in a closed room, it will result in all the oxygen being sucked out of said room and the asphyxiation of all those inside. You've got me if you're wondering how these people ever became a prosperous developed nation
please read the wiki page for more laughs at their expense:

Mine is a picture of one of my t-shirts. It was a football social during my freshers week, and we all had white t-shirts and marker pens. I was signed by the whole cheerleading squad, and a bouncer wrote expletives across the back of my head. I woke up that morning with a penis drawn on 1 temple, and went to lectures with a heart and 'i love you' on my other (couldn't wash it off)
