Will you give each of the new mods one picture each from your avy?????
That alone would get my vote.

Re: An Operations Request [Feedback Desired]
Of course! I would personally guide each new Moderator to have avatars of a sexual nature. This would help attract more traffic to C.C. Also, this would reduce flaming of the Moderators, since most people don't get too angry at someone who displays a beautifully rounded and heart shape ass. No Moderator will be able to have an avatar of a violent nature, as these type of avatars lead to bad behavior of not only the Moderators, but the general public.notyou2 wrote:Will you give each of the new mods one picture each from your avy?????

Don't confuse this policy with the April Fool's Day [cutesy b.s.] which started a witch hunt against all former posters of Flame Wars and others who dared question the Moderators and their brown nose groupies. Nope, the number 1 priority of this new administration would be to issue a "blanket amnesty" to all who received bans for simply expressing their opinion in the forum. Number 2 priority is to form a committee to discuss and formulate new rules and guide lines. This would entail a new punishment system and would not include a "escalating" punishment scale, due to the fact that regular, paying forum users are being issued 30 day and perma-bans for petty offenses.
Number 3 priority is to make sure all decisions made by the Moderators are not biased and that ALL violators will get a chance to "challenge" a punishment, before a "Court of his Peers". This Court of Peers, will be made up of 12 people who have a strong record of posting in the forums. It will be the job of this Court to judge whether the Moderator made a good or bad case of issueing a punishment.
This Court of Peers will bring back a fairness to the forums and will reduce the atmosphere of mistrust, back stabbing, finger-pointing, brown nosing, fear and a host of other maladies that are inflicting these forums.
The "WE against THEM" mentality will stop under my administration. I'll bring back love and lust that these forums have lacked for so long.
STOP THE HATE,
General Stoneham

That's New York slang, which means that you need to let go of your prick..you pricks!
Remember, it's ok to "prick your finger, but never "finger your prick."

I have no idea what it means, but I get the feeling the author was being intentional with that.

Re: An Operations Request [Feedback Desired]
May I nominate?
2) PepperJack - Not as active anymore but also brilliantly funny with great practical intelligence. Plus, he won the BR game on Arms Race and (at least to the best of my knowledge) was the first person to use the term 'Intensity Cubes'
3) Wacicha Needs no introduction
4) Gloryordeath Quietly does an insane amount of work promoting this site to new players
5) Serbia A mature individual who plays fairly and honorably
7) ScottP I don't know if he posts much, but he is a good guy. Might be a good way to represent the player that just comes in and plays games and doesn't get very involved in the social aspect.
8 ) DBandit70 Responsible guy, always polite.
9) denominator Great guy, always up to try a new type of game.
and for 10, most all of my clanmates, they are generally good people, Brucewar is a nice guy who doesn't mind helping the noobs, Bart and Amazzony for all their tournaments, Blitz is good to represent the super competitive side, and that guy who leads TOFU for taking the high road in the clan league debate.
I didn't include any mods (I guess except Wacicha) because I figure they are already included.

is anything going to come of this or were the leading nominee/vote receivers not what the admins had in mind? just wondering... still seems like a very interesting idea...-0

what a wonderful response from an admin... clearly the people that were put forth in the thread were not the people he had in mind. once again showing a clear disconnect with one admin, the forums and the forum community as they truly are...-0King_Herpes wrote:I knew this was a ruse.Optimus Prime wrote:Yes, something has already come of this. p.s.-when are we getting that traffic update on how the shuffling of the forums has improved traffic to the areas intended?

You kick off by being all inclusive and nice, but then when certain people ask you questions, you immediately show hostility and a certain venom. It really does you little justice and only shows a certain shallowness and ignorance on your part which is a shame. Furthermore, it hardly endears you to anyone, or in fact creates an atmosphere in which anyone would want to be included in anything you were organising.
Perhaps you should seek counselling on this OP. I am deeply concerned you are allowing your emotions to get in the way of the clarity you need to make decisions.

Re: An Operations Request [Feedback Desired]
Now one would have thought that after countless pages of recommendations (elicted by the admins), to get a public view on the recruitment for this magic circle, that the admin in question might actually inform the public on who they chose.Optimus Prime wrote:Yes, something has already come of this. But no, because...
Of course, the membership (you know, the people who pay your wages) didn't need to make the effort to engage in this process either..I think many of us saw it as a chance to mend some fences..seems Optimus Prime saw it more as an opportunity to burn some more bridges!Optimus Prime wrote:Have I made it public? I've never been in trouble with mods. I've never had confrontations with the mods. I've never had a C&A ticket created about me. I'm a regular forum user. I'm a premium-paying customer. I like to think I'm a pretty reasonable person.Optimus Prime wrote:Yes, something has already come of this. Have I made it public? I would like to know what has come of this.
Re: An Operations Request [Feedback Desired]
I think people are taking OP comment a bit too emotionally. I am sure OP will reveal what has come of it when he is ready.
Re: An Operations Request [Feedback Desired]
I don't know. He hasn't made a teaser post yet. He's usually quite good at whipping us all into an anticipatory frenzy before letting us in on anything. I suspect that Owen ruined our chances of ever knowing what became of this, by being the first person to ask. That Owen. Always causing shit.mibi wrote:I think people are taking OP comment a bit too emotionally. I am sure OP will reveal what has come of it when he is ready.

So let's say OP had a soufle in the oven, but it wasn't done yet. The some jackass comes along and says, hows that soufle doing? and OP says, it's in the oven, I'll let you know when it's done, and this jackass says, I demand to see that soufle, and OP says, but it's in the oven, then the jackass says, I don't care, I demand you take that soufleout of the oven, so OP takes the soufle out of the oven and it collapses because it was taken out too soon.
Let the man cook.

Do you work in politics?
ps. There's a difference between saying "There's a souffle in the oven. You'll get to see it soon.", and "I cooked something, but you'll never know what it was."

Re: An Operations Request [Feedback Desired]
first of all, nice flames... must be nice to be a former member of the extended team CC family and know that nothing will be done to you for openly flaming and baiting other members in the forums by calling them "jackass". way to keep the discourse at a mature level. notice how you are the only one calling names? just sad. secondly, i didn't demand to see anything, i just asked if anything had ever come of it. furthermore, OP never said, "i'll let you know when it's done." he said, "Yes, something has already come of this. Have I made it public? No, because I don't need to." what part of that statement even remotely says what you are claiming it states? i can't see it, maybe i'm just not reading it correctly. anyway, this is indicative of the new friendlier CC we have all heard so much about. thanks for the flames, thanks for the incorrect paraphrases, thanks for leaping to the defense of an admin who routinely dismisses valid questions/comments from members of the forum community. it isn't THEM vs. US, it should be WE, but that is not the air about this place...-0mibi wrote:So let's say OP had a soufle in the oven, but it wasn't done yet. p.s.-the responses from members of the community to his response to my simple question are spot on.

Re: An Operations Request [Feedback Desired]
Maybe they were asked not to say anything. Maybe they just chose not to say anything. Maybe OP just put together his go-to list but hasn't actually gone to them yet. If I were putting together the list, I wouldn't necessarily want it made public because then forum members would try to pressure those individuals to push their views rather than just getting the views of the contributors at that point in time.Bruceswar wrote:Optimus Prime wrote:Yes, something has already come of this.
