I hereby submit my application.

I am of the firm opinion that I support whatever all of you are in favour of and am against everything you all hate. I support changing those things you dislike, and think those things you like very much should never be touched because they are a part of the principles that have founded this great website. I do not want to attack my opponents, but I will also say that they plan to outlaw all of those things you like.

I am a honest christian/atheist/muslim [cross out those which don't apply] and I support/don't support [cross out those which don't apply] a crackdown on multis. But I am not merely about making promises, I intend to keep them in my term. Therefore one of my first actions as reigning King/President/Dictator [circle the one that applies] will be the bringing back of those people who you think should be brought back and the banning of those people you think should be banned. My opponents of course want to ban all those people you really like, but I do not resort to partisan politics. I believe in freedom, responsibility and the American/Canadian [cross out whichever doesn't apply] Way!

I vote fore wolfystyle's next door neighbor. No, but on a more serious note.

A fair idea and definitely in the right vein, but unfortunately a lack of official authority or recognition will make a representative about as useful as a paper condom.

However, I think that if we were to have 3-5 elected representatives from the different forum communities, gave them a board (our version of C-SPAN) where only they and admins/mods can post but all can view, and gave them the task of channeling the opinions and emotions of the various groups on the board, then we could see some real progress.

Perhaps as an incentive to volunteer, to stay as a representative, and to do a good job, CC could give those elected auto-premium -- if they do good job they get to keep it for as long as they stay, but if they don't then they aren't reelected and will lose it.

This would probably take relatively little time and effort to implement too.

If the person has the support of a lot of members, then admin might listen. They might feel like this is an opportunity to make the people happy, and only have to negotiate with one person. Only have to deal with one, concise set of complaints. Could be good for them too.
