This week colton24 will be answering questions. All questions were submitted by readers of the newsletter.

Q: Welcome colton!

A: Sup!

A: 12

Q: How did you reach 200 or so points? Were you trying at all?

A: Lost a lot. Yes I was but I sucked

A: Yes.

A: I want to try to make Lt.

Q: What are your plans in terms of gaining clan membership or starting one (given your prior reputation)?

A: I'm in one atm as co-leader

Q: What are you favourite game settings?

A: No spoils, chained, seq, no fog of war

Q: How does it feel to be a walking, talking, typing, representation of CC's dumbed-down new world?

A: Not sure.

Q: Do you think they'll let you be an admin after you've been here for say, 6 months?

A: That would be funny, but no I doubt it.

Q: Do you think your extreme youth has anything to do with the fact that you suck so badly at CC? Do you not think this is a game designed for adults and that your proper place isn't in front of XBOX LIVE...with a bib in your mouth??

A: Four words- Shut the hell up

Q: If you were an admin, would you enforce an minimum age limit of 16 and then promptly ban yourself?

A: No. I think an age limit is a bad idea as it drives away some customers.

Q: If you had a choice between doing your homework properly and thus going on to live a productive life, or spending all your free time on CC and thus become a useless, fat bum with an unusual knowledge of geography... which would you choose?

A: Doing homework

Q: How did serving in the East German secret police influence your life after the wall came down?

A: ...

Q: Is it true that when you hit 200 points you get a daily pm from the webmaster saying merely... " You suck worse than me!!!"?

A: [Removed]

A: Idk

Q: How do you think you keep getting away with it?

A: With what?

Q: Which do you think is funnier, this one or the other one?

A: This one

A: He doesn't hate me. I told him to keep it open

A: Yes

A:No

Q: how is it possible to get to 200 points?

A:By sucking bad

Q: colon, do you feel sailorseal's questionable choice of giving another younger member who has a poor reputation within the forum community the spotlight so early in his tenure as the tournament newsletter director has jeopardized his position? do you feel it is giving relevant fodder to those that argued he was the poorest selection possible to run this specific newsletter? in short, do you feel this interview is going to contribute to the ultimate termination of your friend from his post as tournament newsletter director? thank you.-0

A:No it hasn't it's yall who have. No, Gozar trusts him as a great choice and everyone should. Gozar chose him because he believes in him. No.

Q: Do u think posts like this make u mod worthy??

A: Yes

Q: How privileged do you feel to be chosen to be interviewed in CC's official Tournament Newlstter?

A: Very

Q: what sort of message do you believe this sends to your fellow clan members? and what would you do if
a member of your clan engaged in the same sort of activity?

A: I would talk with him about it.

Q: Why do you believe that racism is good?

A: I don't

Q: Thanks for your time

A guest Editorial written by ZionT
ZionT wrote:Let me know what you think...

I wanted to take my shot at ranting and raving about whatever struck my fancy and what better forum than Newshound as my first guest editorial! I suppose I’ll try to keep my topic of discussion focused though that can be difficult for me, like waxing cars: “wax on, wax off, wax on… Mouth Off!” and I’m not even as good as Michelangelo or Ralph Macchio. Anyways, what I wanted to talk about was the ever exciting variation on tournament play known to some as the “throwdown”. By some, I mean to me. This is a lot like in Braveheart where young Wallace (played by an ego maniac drunk) challenges his buddy Harnish to a rock throwing contest. If you remember, they literally throw rocks at each other like the Scots are known to do. However rabblerousing this activity may seem, don’t try this at home. That is unless you’re Scottish in which case, it’s in your blood to kill each other off. So, how does this apply in CC?

Well, the closest thing to pelting each other’s faces in Conquer Club is the dynamic world of the “throwdown” (maybe clan wars are closer, but I prefer my version). I’m referring specifically to a best of 15 set of games where both players play 3 sets in an epic showdown of machismo and general tomfoolery. The player “throwing down” picks 6 maps (2 per set) and the player being called out picks 6 maps and of course each picks settings and they duel. The last game of each set is better set at “random map” with no cards, chained settings. Essentially, it’s your best versus another player’s best (on standard, sequential obviously as it’s the only really sane way to play 1v1).

Por ejemplo: ZionT v. sailorseal

3 sets (1st set – the other two would be the same)
Arms Race!: no cards, chained (my pick)
Battle of Actium: flat rate, adjacent (my pick)
Battle of Iraq!: no cards, unlimited (random)
Berlin 1961: flat rate, chained (sailor’s pick)
Greenland: no cards, adjacent (sailor’s pick)

How much more badass does it get? Really? I dare you to think of something more badass. If you’re thinking John Cusack in “Better off Dead…”, then yes, that’s more badass. Otherwise, this is basically the pinnacle of badassness.

Why play 1v1 this way? Basically, I think it’s a fantastic way to determine skill in a tournament style that should remove luck from the equation while allowing for an exquisite combination of skill in map picking, skill in setting creation, and variability in game play. The “mixed bag” random game should delineate players’ versatility on the maps of CC and is a good tie breaker. I loved this playing style with the few players I’ve had a chance to throw down with and I have a feeling you will to. Tourney makers who so often choose 1v1 as the setting, try this out! Or when challenging friends, try this set up. It may create a lot exciting conversation.

Seriously, what could be better than a good old fashioned Greco-Roman style throwdown?

Cool thread of the week: Top CC Tourney players thanks to Blitzaholic http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=91285

Until next time folks…

Wow, it’s been two months since the last set of 3 questions – and #3 was repeated, but:

Q "1) Are the three Nutts anything like the Three Musketeers? 2) What does the future hold for Tournaments? 3) Why did you spell Nuts with 2 T's?” Sailorseal

A1 R Nutt, PhD: No, we are brothers – not friends. The future for Tournaments is limited only by the imagination of CC. Nutts has 2 T’s because our ancestors spelled it that way.

A2 H Nutts, MBA: Yes, in the sense that we are three kindred spirits with similar souls -- just different perspectives. The future of Tournaments is a question best asked of Tournament Directors, etc. The truth is one of our ancestors stuttttttttered when spelling it at immmmmigration.

A3 - A Nutts, BS: No, the Three Musketeers candy bar has no nuts. The Future holds whatever Tournaments gave it to hold. Because we like TT’s. Think of Jacqueline Bissette without 2 TT’s. . .or all the Annettes, Anntoinettes, Bette’s, Nicolette’s, Margarette’s, Yvettes, etc. would not be the same without TT’s.

Q "Can you guys write a brief history of CC? SuicidalSnowman

A1 R Nutt, PhD: I’m too new to know the history… Sailorseal should have someone answer.

A2 H Nutts, MBA: Conquerclub developed from an online version of Risk. Variations were developed (different maps, moves, reinforcements, etc.). Chat was included, forums, etc. that’s the 10 second version.

Would be great to have the option to make a game private or "by invitation only"
Especially as the site grows, would be nice to be able to choose, limit to, or invite certain players...high level, friends, family etc.
Just a thought

Wow, it’s been two and a half months and no questions, then 5, well:

Q " Are these nuts yummy? Do they have a hard shell? Are they salted? Are they roasted? Why did you spell Nuts with 2 T's?” Sailorseal

A1 R Nutt, PhD: These nuts are always yummy because of their natural taste and texture. They have normal Shells. Not salted, but au naturel. We will get roasted at the end of the year. Because our ancestors spelled it that way.

A2 H Nutts, MBA: It depends on whether you like to eat nuts or not. R is harder than most, A is a little soft, but my girl friend says I’m jusssst righttttt. We were assaulted once. R and I have been roasted, but A is usually “baked.” The truth is one of our ancestors stuttttttttered when spelling it at immmmmigration.

A3 - A Nutts, BS: My girlfriend thinks so. Wait, H’s girlfriend says that I’m the hardest. Not so much salty as sweaty. Like H said, I like to get baked. Because we like TT’s. Think of Jacqueline Bissette without 2 TT’s. . .or all the Annettes, Anntoinettes, Bette’s, Nicolette’s, Margarette’s, Yvettes, etc.

I am glad that we are now using the official newsletter as a forum for using negative terms towards marginalized groups.

sailorseal wrote:Q: Have motherf****rs acted like they've forgotten about you yet?

But then again, we now have the newsletter editor, in what I imagine to be an official position, posting up curse words.

I sincerely hope we can hear from higher up that this is NOT CC's official stance, and that better editorial judgment will be used in the future.

So I am to read this as that the policy of conquer club is to exercise no editorial control over the interview section of the newsletter, or would that include the whole newsletter?

But being 12 does excuse inability to be PC in re of sensitive topics. And his age also excludes him from being tried as an adult.

Get off of him. Get over it. Move on. colton stop talking.
