Hi
I am fairly new to the site, having completed 6 games, winning one through sheer dumb luck. Could I please join and get help?

Hi!

I'm lt. Futt. I have been playing nearly a half year but I've just a few games going on at the same time. Actually I won my very first (speed) game and gained 129 points. Dont ask me how I won. Now I want to become a student - as you can understand. Still potato peeler.

Hi. I am Murdy and am looking to learn from anyone who will teach me! Just joined and am in the middle of three games. I have broken a golden rule in one of them already.

there is no such thing as too much knowledge.

I like to join the society.
A have played a couple of games now and see that it is more than rolling the dice.
Also I have to play against collega's at work and don't want to lose.

But most of all it's fun!!

Hello,

I would very much like to join the Society, if you would be so kind as to accept me. I need to improve my strategies, and you seem like a wonderful option.

Good to meet you all, by the way.

Postby Darkholyone on Tue Sep 01, 2009 7:42 pm

The name is Darkholyone. I found this site through advice from and friend. I've managed my first five games, with another three currently active. Out of the five I won only a single game, due to luck, against a friend. All the other games ended horribly, but with me learning lots.

I hope to join the Society to learn some good strategies, have several good games, and maybe gain some friends in the process.

Hi all. I found this site by accident looking for a map of the 3 Kingdoms era in China, but saw what was going on here, quickly joined in, and have been enjoying myself ever since. So far I've played 3 games and lost them all. (Currently in 3 more, looks like I might have a chance in 1). Any tips and hints you can give a novice to help me to conquer my enemies and listen to the lamentations of their women, would be greatly appreciated.

hello names Will, played about 30 games and won 3. Starting to get worryingly addicted but would actually like to win for a change :D Just upgraded to a premium account and before I start lining up the games I would really like to learn basic tactics. I've read a few posts in the forum but would like to develop more.

Looks like I've finally made it this far. I'm holding my own on the normal sequential games with a larger amount of people, but I'm consistently getting my ass whipped on 1v1 games.

I'm interested in joining. I've played here before (if u read the forums, u c that I had my computer stolen, and when I got a new one a year later, made a new account and got into trouble for that :-o ; didn't have access to the old one, didn't think I was doing anything wrong - but all that is fixed and this nick is legit, the old one is disabled).

In the year+ that I've been gone, I see lots of new faces and lots of new maps and some other significant changes to the game. So I could certainly use some training and such. I play at a lot of sites, and don't have an extraordinary amount of free time, but if time permits, I'd like to check out the SoC and perhaps play some games with people around my experience level to get used to the new maps and such. Since the game play, the rules, the "unwritten code of conduct", the player base and other such things vary widely from site to site, I could also use some pointers on stuff like that as well.

I confess I haven't read much about the SoC, so let me do that and please let me know if there are any suggested "next steps" to help me become a better player, especially on any maps that were created in the last year!

Feel free to PM me as well if there's anything that you think needs my immediate attention :-) If u choose to IM me instead, please let me know your game nick so I can accept. I prefer PM, but may start adding players on my IM if needed, especially for team games and such.

tia; hi to anyone I was friends with b4 (PM me and forgive me if I forget anyone); and greetings to any newcomers :-)
