This would be the way to get the people who are in high regard, and are well known (mostly by posting on the forums I guess).
Not too bad a choice, since they need to give their opinion. But it doesn't really cover all player types. Out of the 18000 on the scoreboard, I guess there will be around 200 that make the majority of posts here.

The hard thing will be to get some newer/more silent players willing to give their opinion.

I think that those of us who have requested more community input must surely get on board with OP's concept without prejudice or preconceptions.

On that basis I would be perfectly happy to serve. For all my griping, I genuinely do want to see CC get better and better.

My own nominations?

Well there are a lot of great posters in GD I like a great deal but if I had to choose three I would go for:

Woodruff: Often on the other side of the argument to me, but I've always respected his genuine attempts at objectivity. Also, I think I might be finally winning him round to my way of seeing things (at least a bit!) which is always a definite plus!

Medefe: I didn't see him nominated above (though I may have missed it) but have always found his posts to be intelligent, well-written and objective to boot.

Killing.44: Very bright poster who seems to be bang in the middle between 'the dissenters' and 'the establishment'. No mean feat that.

There are some other posters like Fc, owen (and others) who need no nomination from me, they'll surely be nominated by most anyway, so I thought I'd nominate some very good posters who might otherwise be overlooked.

Excellent collection of potential candidates so far! As to the comment on getting some of the more silent players involved, I quite agree. If you have interacted with someone in a few games who you think might be a worthwhile candidate but doesn't post much in the forums, put their names down as well.

I dropped in a few nom's earlier, but after considering it, I'd also like to nominate myself for my ability to think critically, see patterns, identify options, experience designing manuals, and my rt HR management experience. I've organized a tournament, spotted an unexplained area in the tourney manual (you may remember that, OP ) helped new players understand the site and general play; and have worked on the Tourney newsletter. I never went far with my map ideas, but I can still work on them.

I nominated myself... mainly, after correspondence with Andy in which he gave the opinion that alot of people on CC would rather talk than pitch in to help.

Thus, regardless what others believe, I believe that if a member is willing to take the time for this, and believes he or she has some skills that would benefit, then that member is obligated to nominate himself or herself. Seriously!
