Seriously target, download and use Firefox. It will automatically underline misspelled words for you, then all you have to do is right click on that misspelled word, and choose the word you want out of the drop-down list. It'll at least make you APPEAR to be intelligent. You'd be taken a WHOLE lot more seriously if you were coherent in your writing. I definitely don't excuse drunk drivers or anyone else. That said, too many cops (and I am not speaking rhetorically here, I speak of individuals I know) either decided to become a cop because they already liked to bully people or wind up becoming jerks after they put on the badge.

take a look form the police officers responding to the scene NOT THE VICTOMES!!!!! you show up and everone tells you the suspect is stacked out in that house you sit around ordring him to get out when no one comes what do you do? "well joe lets call it a day he is not coming out ok" NO you go in and get him. in light of the information that you knew at the time and you act is all you need. later thay found out he was not in there by doing a search!!! yes i said they were doing there job

If they had DONE THEIR JOB PROPERLY, this tragedy would not have happened. If they had DONE THEIR JOB PROPERLY, they would have had a search warrant that had...get this...an ADDRESS on it...you know...where they're supposed to search. Sadly, they did not do their job properly.

What they should have done is stayed there until they got a search warrant by presenting evidence that the suspect was probably inside the building. Hopefully, during this process, it would become clear that the suspect was somewhere else, but, if it didn't, at least they would be legally trashing the woman's apartment.

my point on this thread has been here to show the other side. The police's side, what i think is sad is that none of you can see that side. when i do become a social studies teacher i most likely will teach history focusing on the revolutionary war and the founding fathers. (at least that's what peaks my interest the most). The way i look at a teachers job is to show an event that has happened along time ago and give the student all the views expressed about that event so the student has all the knowledge and can understand all options before making there decision.

i will concede that the police should of had a search warrant cause i do not feel like researching all the reasons when they do not need a search warrant(there are cases out there like this). But my big point isWHO STAYS IN THERE HOUSE WHEN POLICE HAVE SURROUNDED THE HOUSE. AND ARE CALLING FOR SOMEONE TO COME OUT WHO IS NOT IN THERE WHY WOULD YOU NOT GO OUTSIDE AND KINDLY SAY TO THE POLICE HE IS NOT IN HERE IT IS ONLY ME???????????????

I'm glad we agree that the police should have gotten a search warrant. Here's how I see it. There were two parties involved here, the police and the woman. One of the parties was following the law. The other party was conducting a warrantless search which, we agree, is a violation of the Constitution. Now, which party should be responsible for the damage: the innocent one whose house was gassed and ransacked, or the guilty one who did the gassing and ransacking. To me, this seems like a no-brainer.

Because the police were the professionals, the ones with the guns, the ones who are supposed to know the constitution and support it, not break it.

The irony is that the police did more damage to the apartment than if the burglar had actually been there. Pretty much everything was covered in poison where as the burglar would have only been able to take what he could carry. He probably wouldn't have killed her pet or set fire to her rug either.

Also, if the police are calling for someone to come out of an unspecified apartment, and it isn't your name being called, why would you come out? They live in row homes, it could have been anyone and we don't even know if the police had even gotten the woman's attention. Kid's can be pretty loud too and I suspect that she didn't hear them.

Regardless, even if their had been a burglar inside there was no excuse for trashing the place like they did. Even if you disagree with that, THE POLICE SHOULD FUCKING PAY FOR THE DAMAGES THEY CAUSED.
