Yeah, check back later. targetman apparently invited some of his buddies. If they don't respond to the invite then you can sneak in. I'll make a post here if it becomes open.strike wolf wrote:On the other hand it's been reserved and I apparently can't join.autoload wrote:Open invite to a triples game to anybody that visits this thread vs. The Stache. It's getting close to one year since I joined CC. I started off doing well but I've been on a losing streak lately. I'm thinking of getting a premium membership and playing more games. I started two games if anyone wants to join. They're fog of war games.

don't like fog of war and from my general observations starting a bunch of games at once doesn't usually help a losing streak.Quirk wrote:It's getting close to one year since I joined CC. I've only played 14 games in a year. It was a busy year. I'm hoping to make time to play some more games. I only play 2-3 games at once.strike wolf wrote:don't like fog of war and from my general observations starting a bunch of games at once doesn't usually help a losing streak.Quirk wrote:It's getting close to one year since I joined CC. Re: the longest thread, thread - Occasionally NSFW
True. I had 28 games going at one point, and I won about 9 of them. Granted I ended up winning more then I lost, but still. But I have been on a horrible streak with the dice for months, and have settled down to one last game that is more or less turning into a build game. The reason? Well, when you have 7 and you try to take a 1 territory, for 3 turns before finally getting it and have 1 left to advance on it, there really just isn't much point to playing it anymore. And this is far from the first time. I seem to be able to get to Sgt. 1st Class, and then the dice turn on me I lose points faster then Wall Street.strike wolf wrote:don't like fog of war and from my general observations starting a bunch of games at once doesn't usually help a losing streak.Quirk wrote:It's getting close to one year since I joined CC. You aren't doing bad. Hell, you only have 14 completed games, so no worries.Quirk wrote:It's getting close to one year since I joined CC. Hence why my last game is a building game on Circus Maximus.strike wolf wrote:The dice are evil.muy_thaiguy wrote:True. I had 28 games going at one point, and I won about 9 of them. Re: the longest thread, thread - Occasionally NSFW
Honestly I just need to be able to put more effort into my game and try to be more optimistic than I am. I'm tend to be too slow and defensive to really put myself out there to win games.

Re: the longest thread, thread - Occasionally NSFW
Well, I decided to be like everyone else and get myself a copy of Call of Duty: World at War. (for the wii) Like most everybody else, I bought it for the online play. I am loving every second of it, and I haven't even touched the single player mode yet. Great graphics, hardly any lag, a great assortment of weapons and abilities. The level system is something new to me, but I'm enjoying that as well. It makes me feel like I'm actually DOING something, rather than just running around blasting the shit out of everyone I cross paths with (I'm not saying this isn't fun, I just wanted to clarify). Great game.
