But I don't want to. I want you to do it, and provide a link for me. Somewhere where NASA says the solar system is 120 billion years old. I swear I'll buy you a year's premium membership if you can do it.

i would definetly say we are causing global warming. it actually takes about 20 to forty years to actually make an effect on our ozone though. but the industrial age which happened over 100 years ago was probably when it started and it porbably hasnt gotten any better.

A period, at least one period would be helpful. A period will assist us in understanding where one sentence stops and one begins.

Also, utilizing the spell check functionality recently added to Firefox will go quite far in assisting us in understanding you.

And your reference to "that saturn," are there more than one?

Back on topic.

Can anyone who still feels able to dismiss global warming as a theory/pinko commie conspiracy/overreaction etc etc please state why the conclusions reached by 2,500 international climatologists are wrong.
Please.

Because is it an agenda to control the masses. "Conserve energy", "Don't buy SUV's", "Ban hair spray" give me a break. We are not causing global warming. If you choose to buy into it that's your paranoid, pessimistic opinion. Now, Ive gotta hop into my SUV and run to the store to buy a case of hair spray for my wife.... later.

Jay uses rush limbaugh's opinion to take on 2,500 qualified scientists from over 30 different countries. My god your head is buried so far in the sand.

Controlling the masses - who? Who wants people to stop buying SUVs and conserve energy? Who does that benefit, if global warming is a fantasy?

(and it seems ironic that a fundamentalist xian condemns global warming as a fantasy meant to control the masses    )

Jay_a2j wrote:We are not causing global warming.

2,500 scientists tell you something = it's a conspiracy
A few politicians whose interests lie firmly with oil companies and big industry tell you something = the truth
Really jay? Would you agree with this?

I read in a steven hawking book that the universe was 12-15 billion years old. not to mention all my physics textbooks, they also found that the expansion of the universe was accelerating so if anything that should revise its age to younger.

you called me pe 24
ah what wonders the local english is south cant under stand the north the north cant under stand the welsh and no body can under stand them in/or from glasgow
thats are cyn a genius in the making
back to global warming its a cycle that the earth have all though it history but man has added to the ploblem ever since he first lit a fire just that in the last 200 odd years we got better at it
why prof cox would not add his name to that paper with the other 2000 odd tects is because there are to many verables
one verable is very time there been global warming the land masses was in diffrent places and they all ended with an ice age
even if you take from now to the last ice age the land masses are in a diffrent place ie america has been moving away from europe at a rate 2cm a year and britain is moving away from the main land at 1mm a year
what could be intesting is people idea in what going to happen

BWAAAHAHAHA! This from one of the most "controlled" people I have ever seen. If you looking for "an agenda to control the masses" and people "buying into paranoia", just look around the room next Sunday. Those are your lemmings. ;)

global warming

Postby WL_southerner on Tue Feb 06, 2007 10:25 am

steven hawking publish that 15-20 years ago even he had a change of heart over how old the solar system is
the expaning universe is still being work on we dont know how far the universe has expaned, we cant see the edge of the universe yet so we dont know how big it is. but they have and idea what is out on the edge that is dead planets, stars and galaxys then they need to see to the other side off that and with them 3 points thay can work out where the centre was or is that give them a rough idea how old the universe is, but theres another problem all the galaxys are traveling in diffrent directions like the galaxy that heading towards are mikyway. thats way the last idea on the big bang was not just one but more how many who knows
about 120 billion years go are solar system was a mass of swirling gas that was the start of things

I think you're confusing the term "Solar system" with "Universe."

The universe is a hypersphere - a 4-dimensional sphere - and this is exactly what its expansion SHOULD look like. Do not try to visualise a hypersphere, it can cause madness.

global warming

Postby WL_southerner on Tue Feb 06, 2007 1:54 pm

we dont know what shape it is untill we see the outter edges it could be shape like a galaxy for all we know, if we know what shape the big bang exlosion was then have an idea what shape the universe is
are solar system is a lot younger than the universe , are solar system is prob just a blink on an eye to the age off the universe

I've never considered that possibility before, that certainly would make the open system theory a whole helluva lot easier to visualize.
