-Maximus- wrote:Can you take a large number, say 43958272908
And determine if it is divisible by 11 from the following method: by just going from left to right adding and subtracting alternate digits, and seeing if that number is divisible by 11.
4-3+9-5+8-2+7-2+9-0+8=33
33/11=3
43958272908 is divisible by 11

Let's start off with a classic, shall we?
You come across a fork in the road, one leads to the town where you need to go, and the other leads straight to hell. Standing there are two brothers. One always tells the truth, the other always lies. You can only ask one question to either brother. What question do you ask?

You ask one of the brothers, "If I'd ask your brother if this is the road that leads to the good town, would he agree?"
Then you ask the other one, "If I'd ask your brother which road leads to the good town, which would he say?"
The untruthful brother would lie while answering honestly and say his brother say to take the wrong route, while the truthful brother would answer truthfully, saying his lying brother would say to take the wrong road. So both brothers would point to the road to Hell — take the other path.
