code changes?
just a few things that i know bug me and others, one sided games from the start, long bad dice streaks, and this most of all maps that start people with bonuses, 1 away from a bonus, or a massive area from which to re-enforce from while not making any of the areas that got re-enforced from vulnerable to attack, is their any way to make it so this happens less, or not at all? Or just to make dice more random then they seem to be as of now?

should be an easy fix.Mike the Squirre wrote:just a few things that i know bug me and others, one sided games from the start, long bad dice streaks, and this most of all maps that start people with bonuses, 1 away from a bonus, or a massive area from which to re-enforce from while not making any of the areas that got re-enforced from vulnerable to attack, is their any way to make it so this happens less, or not at all? Re: code changes?
Yea, you mentioned a dice randomness issue, that will most likely not be changed(It's been mentioned lots before). It's as random as it gets. I think the starting positions on a map is also supposed to be random, so I doubt that will change. I suppose maybe lack could add some code that keeps track of how many territs. per bonus and then make it so no more than half of the bonus area can be taken by the same player. But that seems like a lot of unnecessary work, this is probably a case of "not broke don't fix." By the way, try to use that form that is included in the post instead of just deleting it.

the dice are random, but lets remember, random is not fair. sometimes it will screw ya. thats just the way it works... dice, and drop, it just happens...

Re: code changes?
All of that is already done. The dice are as random as possible, and all new maps are being designed to make starting with a bonus difficult through starting neutral placement.Thezzaruz wrote:You're kidding right???mibi wrote: should be an easy fix.
Re: code changes?
It's luck of the draw and it works both ways. yes, it can be extremely frustrating when your opponent starts with a bonus or has so much majority in an area that it's inevitable that he'll claim the area but I don't think it should be coded for. -Makes the game unpredictable which it should be.
Re: code changes?
No, he is serious, it's actually just a matter of testing the Macro Calculation Circuit (MCC) of the web server. A little tweaking and adjusting, replacing screw A with screw B and the dice should be pretty random as well the other problems listed.Thezzaruz wrote:You're kidding right???mibi wrote: should be an easy fix.
I will just go ahead and tell the admins to get right on that, thank you for the post.
Ps. I hate that stuff too.
