Game 5149244
Game 5149695
Game 5151319

Comments: As per lack's new guideline to avoid systematic farming of noobs: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=73745&hilit=new+recruits, this player has been doing this for quite some time. Even though this was initiated to take action for 2009, the above games are within the parameters and thus violates this new rule. In addition, it could not be more obvious this player intentionally targeting new players since a great majority of his games are private invitations.

Ah, you're probably right. Hang him twice then, to make up for all the misses.

Thanks guys - I was doing some recruiting for my clan and the scoreboard is the best place to go to. Obviously someone with high percentage win rate is going to catch my attention, so I took a look at the accused and was a little shocked to find a LARGE amount of 1 vs. 1 but mostly against new recruits. This player was obviously systematically farming new recruits, and I even went into one of the games where he was boasting how he had a very long win streak specifically stating he was playing aginst noobs, and finally it was broken Game 3215111. Game chat: 2008-09-09 06:47:30 - Nathan BJ: You are about to break my streak of winning 84 games in a row against new players. Here's another game Game 3145308 where he came across 'manimal' who also stated the obvious in game chat!

As for Samus and [Game]Haucky[/Game] both joined around the same time Nathan BJ did, however it would probably be a bit more difficult to prove that they were all the same person.

Per the Major/Severe Infraction Guidelines, as outlined in the Community Guidelines, since this is Nathan BJ's first Infractions, he has been Warned to stop Farming New Recruits, due to the Game evidence in this topic, in addition to the investigated testimony of many new recruits stating that they were immediately sent a PM out of the blue upon their joining of Conquer Club.

Should he continue, or be involved in any other Major/Severe Infraction, he will be on a 1 Month Vacation from gaming on Conquer Club, in addition to being elligble for a possible Point Reset to 1000.

Having seen his games I very much doubt he knows how to play any other way.

I don't really understand the 'first infraction' point either. Haven't there been many, many infractions... it is just that this is the first time he has been called on it.

Doesn't your ruling give the impression that you can farm away and get as high as you can, keep the points, and then make a decsion about whether to change your ways?

When a case is as clear cut as this I can't understand why it isn't an immediate point reset.

I couldn't agree with you more...however, everyone deserves a second chance. It quite honestly could be his first warning, regardless of the fact as I've previously stated, that he's purposefully farming new recruits and that appears to be the only way he can earn his points. But, to save you and everyone else time, the rules as per this link states the progression of 'punishment' when found guilty of a rule/offense:

http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7785

Rule Enforcement

For users who break the above Guidelines, as they say, "there will be consequences and repercussions." The Mods and Admins will always take into account when past infractions occurred, and the severity of the current infraction and any past infractions, in addition to the intent of the infractions.

There are essentially Two Levels of Infraction in Conquer Club: Minor and Major/Severe.

* Minor Infractions are those that are more annoying than hurtful with intent. This includes but is not limited to: Spamming, Off Topicing, Forms of Flaming/Trolling, Necro-bumping, Oversized Signature, Avatar Abuse, Chat/Forum Newbie Abuse, etc.
o Minor Infractions follow the traditional vacation escalation scale of: Warning, 24 Hour Vacation, 72 Hour Vacation, One Week or One Month Vacation, Permanent Vacation.
* Major/Severe Infractions are those that are more than just annoying, but are intentionally hurtful to a user, group of users, or the community in general. This includes but is not limited to: Cyber-bullying/Harassment, Bigotry, Intentional Deadbeating, Repeatedly Holding Players Hostage, Serial Teammate Killing, Hijacking Accounts, Systematically "Farming" New Recruits, Illegal Point Collecting, **Point Dumping** etc.
o Major/Severe Infractions follow a shortened vacation escalation scale of: Warning, One Month Vacation, Permanent Vacation.
**Note: Due to the nature of Point Dumping having an impact of the integrity of the game, your account will be suspended first until the issue can be resolved.**

If an account ever reaches a Permanent Forum or Permanent Live Chat Vacation, their next infractions may be bumped up to a Permanent Website Vacation.

Nathan BJ: shall I start up another game for us to play?
2009-06-26 08:45:19 - *mikee*: you are far too good for my first game
2009-06-26 08:47:29 - Nathan BJ: practice makes perfect :)

I found this funny.

It is very possible that Nathan had no idea it was against the rules. Im going to guess that the sheer obviousness of it makes that probable. There are a few others out there doing the same thing. Not everyone reads the forum, and while ignorance from the law is not a defense, to some degree in reality it of course has to be.

ha ha ha! Nice find Fitz.

I have to agree with you as well....however, the accused player has 169 games completed - 100 of them 1 vs. 1. And surprise, surprise - they were all noobs. Every single one of them farmed or private games. Perhaps being oblivious to the rules is an excuse, but trying to stack up points against inexperienced players is certainly not. Probably, the only time I wish Ramned and/or manimal were reinstated with their dozens of accounts to 'farm' him.
