2009-06-25 16:35:32 - cahula: Thanks for the invite
2009-06-25 16:42:29 - cahula: Is North East Brazil in the Amazon as well as South America (Total) ?
2009-06-25 19:16:43 - Nathan BJ: and thank you for joining :)
2009-06-25 19:16:51 - Nathan BJ: Amazon..... yes
2009-06-25 19:17:00 - Nathan BJ: so how did you find the site?
2009-06-25 22:55:07 - cahula: I saw a link on a forum post for another game. Always have like risk/diplomacy so thought I'd give it a go.
2009-06-25 23:05:33 - cahula: So what's your secret to winning so many games?
2009-06-25 23:16:56 - Nathan BJ: playing the odds.... like continuing to roll even when I lost 6 in a row that turn :)
2009-06-25 23:17:22 - Nathan BJ: and playing only games where it is basically 1 against 1.... triples is really 1 vs 1
2009-06-25 23:17:53 - Nathan BJ: I avoid games with multiple players because one often loses because one player makes a mistake giving the game to another player
2009-06-25 23:22:32 - cahula: That last point is a common theme in diplomacy too :(
2009-06-25 23:23:12 - cahula: So do you often challenge newbies?
2009-06-25 23:28:32 - Nathan BJ: what is it with you and the dice???
2009-06-25 23:33:53 - Nathan BJ: so, UK..... my wife and I plan to go to Ireland for our anniversary next year
2009-06-25 23:35:31 - cahula: Dice, do you mean good or bad luck I hadn't noticed?
2009-06-25 23:35:57 - cahula: Ireland, I hear it is nice. I've never been. Are your ancestors from there?
2009-06-25 23:36:11 - cahula: I'm near London
2009-06-25 23:38:19 - Nathan BJ: you've had some nice rolls in SA on offense
2009-06-25 23:38:53 - Nathan BJ: actually I am of English ancestry. my wife has a bit of Irish in her. so, we obviously have a contentious marriage.... not really :)
2009-06-25 23:39:24 - cahula: So is it possible to ask someone to resign the game before you have destroyed them?
2009-06-25 23:39:46 - cahula: (without them being marked down)
2009-06-25 23:41:33 - Nathan BJ: whoops- Amazonas doesn't touch Ecuador. oh well.
2009-06-25 23:41:47 - Nathan BJ: nope.... have to play it out
2009-06-25 23:44:02 - Nathan BJ: but in a 1 vs 1 game, once I know I have 0% chance to win, I will deploy to attack the neutrals which block me from the other guy to speed up the game
2009-06-25 23:44:53 - Nathan BJ: for example in this game I would attack Sulewesi to clear the path for the other guy to take me out of Australia
2009-06-25 23:50:24 - cahula: will do with reinforcements as I'd clearly lost 2 turns ago
2009-06-25 23:55:51 - Nathan BJ: ok... enjoy your conquer club experience. you will do well
2009-06-25 23:57:06 - cahula: Thanks for the game, and maybe one day when I've learnt a bit I'll challenge you :)
