Im sorry i no its the flame forum but lack i dont think any1 would stand for racism, its very disturbing that when i come on just to play my games on cc that people are abused becuz the colour of my skin i demand that the person in the flame forum be delt with severly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope your not some PC Dumbass who believes that Racism is a Yes or No issue. In the vast majority of human beings your actions are at least somewhat influenced by the color of someone’s skin, perhaps without realizing it, but it happens.

HOWEVER, Where the term “racist” would be deemed appropriate is an individual bases their actions primarily or even somewhat towards a person on their skin color.

Racism isn't as simple an issue as flipping a coin for or against. Its much more "gray" then people realize. I hear people all the time say "I'm not racist" and then they go and make a gross generalization about a huge group of people, and then when you confront them they have no idea what racism truly is.

On the flipside of ^ you'll have individuals who'll preach for equality and then push so hard for diversity in schools that you get a form of reverse racism where White people can't be diverse, where suddenly diversity is based entirely on the color of your skin and neither your cultural nor historical background.

I don't think Lack/Twill will do anything outright since AS WRONG AS IT WAS, Conquer Club for the most part is impartial in most these issues, and it was the flame forum where talk like that is commonplace. People take affront to a wide variety of things, and if they start regulating discussion based on race...then perhaps it would spread to other issues like nationality...age...on & on until their isn't anything to flame about or even to joke about.

Your best bet is just to ignore the kid, if he is truly such a dick, then its not worth your time. Obviously the CC Community has no respect for an individual like that, so lets just ignore him, maybe even do a community ban

Lack and I are discussing this matter seriously. Please, attempt to keep things civilized or we wont be able to keep such a hands off approach to the community much longer.

We'll be sure everyone know what the deal is as soon as we decide on a couple of things.

In this day in age i feel there is no place for racisim, and those "aliance" clowns were obviously trying to get a rise out of us, and i am the first to admit they got one out of me. I don't see how the color of someone skin is going to effect how I play my game of risk against them..... so why are we here talking about it?

Just as a thought. Either you take the hands off approach or you don't. But if certain kinds of insults are banned, all should. There're some pretty nasty exchanges going on here and there in game chats, in the forum etc. I don't care either way. Certainly though the general level of niceness could be hightened with a general bad on insults. But, there's really no difference between calling someone a cunt or a nigger in this respect. Both are insults. And either insults are allowed or they are not.

I dunno, it depends on the intent behind the insult. If I know someone well I'll be quicker to insult them, or if it's an absurd insult... then it's not so bad. It should be done on a case sensitive basis.
