Expanding the forum

Concise description:

• Expand the off topic forum into its own category (like general, international, usergroups etc) complete with its own selections of forums

Specifics:

• Allow off topic, forums games, mafia games to be grouped under an offtopic catergory, like the international forums. This also opens up the possibility of new forums that can take alot of the load off the off topic forum. For example alot of political discussions happen in off topic, these could have their own politics forum to take these topics out of off topic where alot of threads find themselfs bumped to the second page of the forum with only 24 hours without a response.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:

• Increase the life cycle of threads all around the off topic area.
• Spread the activity of off topic over a wider selections of forums.

You don't need to sort all the topics, you can distribute last 3-5 pages only. And then all the newly created topics go to their own sub-forum.

I doubt you would need to sort all the topics in off topic. All you would have to do is move the entire forum to a new area. If you opened a politics forumI dont think you would have to move all old political discussions to it. Just the currently active ones and let the forum grow on its own.
