Welcome to CC. I'll send you a PM on what we do and put you in a classroom. But you will not be able to join terminator games till you finish your first 5 games. Follow along with the other students till you can post your own games and get a head start.

I'd like to become a member of the Society of Cooks. I clearly need some tutoring to improve my game play (4 losses out of 4 possible!), but I cannot quite see how I apply.

Thanks gloryordeath - see that i need to complete five games, hence the name "Society of the Cook"

Quick question to you or anyone... I have some questions about: "BOB." Not how to install or anything... but some question about some of the options, functions, meaning etc. of some of the information... Is there a sticky or should I post my specific questions about functions in another forum, topic list??

Thanks - dave

Thanks for that, but not quite what i need... don't want to hyjack this thread... should i post my BOB question under Plugins or general disscuss. Again, not a problem with the plugin, more questions about what are snapshots, not sure i follow what all the stats mean, etc.

Hi! I'm fairly new to this game. I like Risk, but I don't seem to have the best game play (have lost 4 games of 4 possible) and would like to join The Society of the Cooks school to improve. I prefer those games with a turn per day, since I have a family, and it would not be right towards my family to play for hours before the PC. Hope you don't mind a 58 year old Norwegian joining you!

To present myself: I like Risk (I'm also playing World Conquest on Facebook - that's how I learned about Conquer Club), have a wife and a 17 year old son (I was a late starter). I live in Bærum outside Oslo in Norway, and work as a translator of technical literature from English and Swedish into Norwegian.

Besides Risk I am also interested in IT (am regarded an IT superuser at work), Harry Potter, science fiction & fantasy (explains the interest for Harry Potter, of course), and am concerned about religion (Christianity and Judaism).

By the way, just now I have 4 games going, which I seem to remember is the max for non playing members. Thanks for making it possible also for non paying people to participate. That way it is possible to try this out for a while to find out if this is really something for new people or not.

All the best,
Roy

Yes, i actually am thinking of joining as well, sort of surprised, but 25 bucks seems reasonable for a year... I am 46 y.o. so guess there are older folks as well... :D
