Yes, but the DaVinci code is fiction.cowshrptrn wrote:cramill wrote:Not to be critical or anything, but how could they be descendants from Jesus? He had no children.wfd336 wrote:

(But, this has nothing to do about your clan, I just wanted to comment on that fact. So, carry on with your new clan stuff then.)
you, my friend, clearly have not read the DaVinci code which goes by the theory that the holy grail wasn't a chalice in the traditional sense, but a metaphor for MAry Magdalene's womb, and the blood was a child of Christ.
Brand new CC clan!!

The book is fiction only because of the story within the book. Some of the ideas expressed in the novel are actual theories that are circulating in this world. This book expresses the theory about Jesus and the blood line, thruogh a made up storyAdler5 wrote:Yes, but the DaVinci code is fiction.cowshrptrn wrote:cramill wrote:Not to be critical or anything, but how could they be descendants from Jesus? How funny
Wow, how weird,...that's exactly what I said about the bible. Except the bible is like complete fiction without any hope of being real...raising the dead, parting the seas, seing angles,...happens every day...lol.cramill wrote:Oh, thanks for the info. Yes, I have not read the DaVinchi Code, and i probably wont, (one im not a big reader, two, that stuff does not interest me that much, and three, if i did read it I would take it as fiction, not fact)
Ok enough with the side note stuff, I will let you all take care of your clan to be.
Glad to see the scuttlebutt is back.
For those who are arguing a moot point: I see the Davinci Code as a great feat of Contemporary American Literature. However, the book is fictional. There I said it, fictional. Many of the ideas represented in the book however are based somewhat on the truth, or percieved truth.
The Merovingians were French Kings. This is fact. Look it up. The idea that they are decendant from a bloodline which goes back to Jesus and Mary Magdalene is THEORY. Many of the symbols which were attributed to the Merovingians were many of the same which were used 2000 (or so) years ago to represent Jesus. Just putting another FACT out there for you.
DO I believe such a bloodline exists. It's possible. The real truth is though. This is all a good story, and what a good name for a usergroup here on Conquerclub, than a group of french kings with possible ties to Jesus Christ. Makes for some interesting posts.
Moral: Get a life, and stop reading so much in to a name.
