I'd definitely be interested. After reaching a high of 2500 before xmas I'm hovering around the 1990 mark right now. I hope there'll be a small degree of flexibility.
setting up a password will work fine. the hardest part will be to let others know it's one of these games. we can keep posting game numbers on this thread but there's got to be an easier way.
im desperately hoping for tourney rights to be honest like the elite games....but we dont want to overload the system either if there isnt room for it....so if anyone has any ideas please post
if it has to stay in private games...my guess is that after we get used to seeing the names...we will know which is which because there will be mostly colonels in the games...try the password...if it works...your in...if not...move along...lol
I think 2,000 is too low. 2,500 is more harder to achieve. what I mean by that is, once you cross 2,500, the points become alot harder to hold onto and they dont rack up as fast. When I was a general not so long ago, you would get like 5 points per win and 50 points per loss. 2,000 is too easy to master, lose, and remaster.
than, once you cross the 2,500 barrier, you become a life time member. too many players have obtained 2,000.
also, i was too lazy to read the entire thread. forgive me if im repeating someone else.

I agree with Fitz. I think that although it is quite the milestone to reach 2500, few have attained it. (I know I haven't), and I think I'm pretty good. That doesn't mean though that your idea should be shot down completely. Sure, we can humor the "lifetime membership" concept if other people want to try that, but as Fitz said, when ptlowe and I came up with this idea, it was geared more towards those who were tired of losing to the low end of the "elite" range but still Colonels, and therefore were looking for a challenging group to play against. I see your point though JR, and if we get THIS up and running, then maybe we can see about making a separate more elite group (maybe the 2.5 club?) or something like that. Thanx again for all your support, and I think that if ptlowe doesn't show his sorry butt in there soon, his name should be taken out of the credit behind the idea, and should be replaced by AAFitz.

Yeah..... it is harder for some. I made my climb to 11th, then got a horrible losing streak down to Lt., then climbed back up to 2301 just recently, and now I'm sitting here at around 2100. I guess that shows how much of a roller coaster this game can really be. It happens to all of us, even those that are considered 'good'.

Sounds like a good idea... a nice middle ground between elite and super elite.
I'd certainly play in a few games, although i'm not so sure on the lifetime membership thing. If you drop below 2000 then join a few elite games until your score is back up there. If you're good enough it will get back up, and if you're not then you shouldn't be in these games!
