Outlaws & Highwaymen [Recruiting][Competitive]

Postby Rocketry on Wed Jan 28, 2009 8:20 pm

So, you're thinking of joining a clan? Outlaws & Highwaymen (O&H) is currently looking to recuit intelligent three-dimensional players with a sharp sense of wit. Does that sound like you?

What is O&H exactly?
O&H is a competitive CC clan that has achieved a surprising amount of success on the CC stage. The following writing gives a good overview of what we are, exactly.

1) O&H is a competitive clan. We compete continuously and seriously - let's get that straight. What we won't do is flood your inbox with hundreds of games to join. We take challenges one-by-one so you can focus on individual games, play them the best you can, and enjoy them!

2) O&H is a community. In O&H, everyone knows who everyone else is. We have a maximum of 20 members, which means people are dedicated, responsible and involved. It's up to you to check the forum to see what we're up to and what you can join in with.

3) O&H is relaxed. We're not going to note your name down in a leather-bound book if you miss a turn, screw something up or try out a new strategy. In fact, we probably won't even notice. Our forum is lively and the whiskey flows. We're an artistic group - check out our signatures! Oh and Annie has novels (the readable type, not the disease.)

4) O&H is on the edge! We like to have a laugh and sometimes we get a slap of the wrist from jpcloet for taking something too far. It's part of the fun. Audacious enough to try things, charming enough to pull them off.

5) O&H is liberal and democratic. You have all the freedoms that you would usually expect, given that you are a human being and not just a username & avatar. We'll openly discuss O&H affairs in the forum and you'll have the chance to vote on issues if you choose.

And what are the benefits to joining?
  • Become a member of our community and contribute to our private forum.
  • Participate in regular clan challenges and other clan-related events.
  • Become a better player! You'll have many opportunities to try out new maps and game-types with teammates who can offer guidance if you would like it. This will inevitably lead you toward a better score and a higher rank.
  • Learn a little of English folklore! I, at least, have an odd affection for the romantic horseback gentlemen thieves who once roamed the lonely English tracks by moonlight.
  • Wear one of our beautiful signatures with pride! We boast one of the largest galleries on CC!
Can I join?
Unlike many clans, Outlaws & Highwaymen will not fire stipulations at you. We simply suggest a minimum score of 1400 (Sgt 1st Class and above.) That keeps out the common thieves and petty fraudsters! However, other players may be accepted on other merits or by personal invitation. If you're a writer then be sure to mention it! Both free and premium players are encouraged to join. Experience in team games is highly useful, but an excellent personality is even more so. Please note that the one-competitive clan rule is enforced.

I Want To Join!
If you would like in: post here, drop safariguy5 a PM or apply via usergroups. We're good people, you'll love it.

You will, at least, be hailed as a celebrity ...when you hang from the gallows!

To O&H!

Rocket.

Rocketman I didnt say yes. I said I could only join if the clan is not competetive. I greatly respect your clan idea and think its great yet I cannot join another competetive clan and also stay in my clan Black Sheep Squadron at the same time. If anything ever happens with my clan yours will be the first I join as I am a poet and a rogue at heart.

Thanks for the invitation sir

Sounds like good fun! I'd like to join if I may? Looking for a competitive group to try and expand my CC knowledge; and the folklore discussions would be a great bonus!

Cheers! Ok, for now It's just a case of collecting unsuspecting peasants to join us. When we have ten people, I'll get us registered, official. After that we get a private forum to collect our thoughts and arrange clan games.

There is indeed! Welcome in!

So there we have it! Ten members! E-Ticket has been sent and very soon we will be recognised as an 'offical' clan. I realise seeking permission to become an outlaw is fundamentally odd, but it will make things easy to organise and give us a decent shot at being successful.

Outlaws & Highwaymen is sill recruiting players, so feel free to post here or send me (Rocketry) a PM.

Good work so far and thanks for all your support!!

What aimlessly and unpredictably? There is indeed room for one more, ominous though that phrase sounds. Welcome in!
