i'm not saying it does not hurt like hell giving birth(i was there at both my childrens birth), but being the most excruciating, i think not. surely this has to be in the torture chambers of the Tower of London or the Spanish Inquisition. imagine the pain some of them had to go through to denounce their respective religions.

Well I stand corrected (said the man in the funny shoes)
Julie didn't scream. She grunted like someone having a big shit, but no screaming, no swearing, no telling me that she would like to cut my cock off for doing this to her. She got on with the job in hand and delivered a baby in under an hour with minimal sweating, no epidural, no caesarian section, just gas and air.
baby was born on 3rd April 14:36 and weighed 7lb 15oz. and we have at long last come up with a name.
Here is Lucy (3 hours old)

Nice work Ped!
Regarding the original question, God issued pain during child birth as one of the punishments for eating from the tree of knowledge.

a better question is:
why do all women scream after the chloroform wears off?

Why do women scream? (are they just whimps?) - I think if men could bear children, men would make a lot less noise, drive home from the hospital and be back at work the next day.
You want the truth? Because Eve sinned. And men have to work because Adam sinned. (Well, until the welfare state came to be)

Proof plz. Or is this another "Imaginary Sky-Daddy said it and it must be true because imaginary Sky-Daddy said that he is always true, which must be true because of what he just said" fallacy?jay_a2j wrote:You want the truth? Oh, of course it is, I forgot that I was replying to Jay.
Also Jay, just so you know, the reason that you sometimes can't achieve a turgid state of erection is because the serpent sinned.
Just letting you know.
PS. Your God is a liar. It must be true because Imaginary Sky-Daddy2 (Lucifer) said it and you can't prove otherwise. I win.

Be-Jeebus Pedro.....I want to be there when you ask that question IN PERSON to a room full of mothers. The carnage would be hilarious (and quick).
I'll leave it to you my friend; I been thru a lot of pain and I'll take it all threefold over that freaking nightmare.....I was forced to be present at my two sons' births and I could barely stand it. The "beauty" of childbirth my arse...lol.
I happily acknowledge the females' superiority in this matter

It doesn't hurt that much.
Women scream for different reasons.
Some women know that men will never be able to prove that it doesn't really hurt that much, so they scream like that to gain the sympathy of their mate.
Some women love the feeling of baby-head-sized penetration. They really want to scream "Oh Yessss!!! I'm commmmiiiinnnngggggg!!!" But they know their mate would be asking them for years "So you really like a huge cock, eh?" "Is my cock big enough?" Etc. etc..
And some women just scream because they can't keep their fuckin' mouths shut for two minutes while their mate video tapes the fetish porn tape that is gonna pay for the new plasma TV.

This brings me nicely onto my next point regarding childbirth.KoolBak wrote:I was forced to be present at my two sons' births and I could barely stand it.
Men who go to the birth and faint are poofs.
What were they expecting to see? Some sort of Disney version of childbirth, where the woman opens her legs and a stork flies out of her quim with a baby in a white sheet in it's beak?
I cut the umbilical cord (that thing is as tough as barbed wire to chop through) and had a good butchers at the head (all red and purple and looking like the top of a predators head - minus the dreadlocks) being pushed out in the early stages.
I'd go to the next birth, if she had one, and it wouldn't put me off eating raw steak.

My wife never screamed once with any of our kids.
Screaming does nothing but expend needless energy anyway. It's counter productive.
Come to think of it, when our kids were born there were at least a dozen other women giving birth at the same time. I never heard any screaming.

Some women are lucky enough to have relatively little pain, for a lot of physical, chemical and yes, emotional reasons. Some people don't wince when they bang their fingers with a hammer, either.

You are equating the amount of screaming to the amount of pain.
The suggestion has been made time and time again that it could just be that some women are wimps. In my opinion, that's all a low tolerance to pain is, in most cases. It is an emotional and mental weakness, not a physical difference.
Why on Earth would you bang your fingers with a hammer?
