How many points from a game?

European leagues use

• 3 points for a win
• 1 point for a draw
• 0 points for a loss

Could you also consider giving people an additional point for playing a game:

• 4 points for a win
• 2 points for a draw
• 1 point for a loss

It looks kind of odd but has an advantage: Means you have a way out if people miss games (you could even make it 10 points for a game!!).
