It will involve 4 to 6 matches over a couple of months. Commitment is required. All players are entitled to request 'free weeks' (except for the play-offs stages).
There will be 4 divisions to cater for players' time zones (or 3 divisions if we dont get enough players).
If you are interested, please read all of the details carefully before posting your interest. Please indicate which division you wish to play in as first choice and second choice (as in my example below).
Players must be premium (to play speed games) and have a 97% attendance record.

Overall Structure Players will each be in one of four divisions (we may be able to have more divisions next season)
Each division has 6-players. Everyone plays four games in total - one 3-player game and three 4-player games.
In all games, players score 5 points for a win, 2 points for second (last to be eliminated).
Each division has a division moderator who will check that all players turn-up at the stipulated time for their game.
As will inevitably happen, if a player is more than ten minutes late then an alternative game will be provided to the players that do turn-up.
The player missing his fixture will be deducted 3 points. The other players will, of course, have a greater chance of gaining points for a win or second.
Fixtures will be sent to players by PM by monday evening of each week. Players have until wednesday evening (48 hours before the match) to request a free week. Re-scheduled fixtures will then be sent. Players can request no more than 2 free weeks. Free weeks are not possible for the play-offs stage of the tournament.
Play-Offs The top player in each division qualifies directiy for the final, 2nd and 3rd qualify for a play-off. Provisional play-off date: Friday 5 June 11PM GMT. Provisional final date: Friday 12 June 11PM GMT
If a player is more than ten minutes late then an alternative play-off game will be provided to the players that do turn-up.
Free weeks are not possible for the play-offs stage of the tournament.
Maps Maps and settings will be determined by the tournament organiser.
Each division will play on maps relevant to its geographical area (e.g. The Eastern Conference will play on Great Lakes and North America).
The play-off and final will be on a suitable World map (hopefully Land & Sea if it is ready).
Settings Unless there is a significant consensus otherwise, these are the settings for all matches: Terminator (to help those working towards terminator medals and share points out a little) Sequential (as that is fair to all players) Flat Rate (again, fair to all players as not everyone has developed escalating tactics) Adjacent (to minimise the advantage of players going first) Fog of War (to make matches interesting and tactical)
Cup Competition At the end of the season, there will again be a cup competiton (like the European Speed Cup). It will again be a knock-out (bracket) formula with additional players invited to enter.
Future Plans (Season 3 and beyond) 1. Expansion of divisions to 7-players - each player then plays 8 x 4-player matches with two matches on their chosen 'home' map and settings (as per season 1 - European Speed League).
2. Recruitment of players from other parts of the world to create the 'World Speed League' with more divisions.
3. Seperate Knock-Out (Bracket) Tournaments for each continent (as well as an overall Knock-Out tournament).
