Relax, my friends...New games will be starting within the next two days. It will be a very special "Post-Holiday Melee"...Featuring the Alexander the Great map!
I'm in the restaurant business and it is the holiday season so I've been quite busy...But alas, the battles continue...Ahha-hah-ha-ha--sputter..ha-ha...spit up phlegm..ah-ha-ha..Redness covers face..eyes bulge...Hah-ha..Ah...forget it....I'll send out pm's soon..And post the board..Happy Holidays by the way everybody! As you all know by now, we have new champions in the team of Fireside Poet and Dixie! They dethroned DavSav/Gotheart86 in The Shinah in IndoChina. Other results were equally impressive, such as VJ/Zorro making quick work of DuggCarr1/AAfitz in the 4th, which seemed to be the theme for Chinaboard. There were "4" other "4th" round Ko's...
The Semps over Condor/Chard (My, how the mighty have fallen)
Resnitecan/AndreiVijt over Nascarfan/Sammy Gags
Casper/Nickfoxx over tja6802/acerun3284
Gunisan/Zack over Allmighty/Invincible

The team of AngryAnderson/Matt2006 earned their 1st title shot with a 13 round decision over the very skilled team of Bretzsky/Philbert.
My new partner, Rebecca Gavin, helped me regain my confidence as we beat Cramill/wfd336 in 8.
Paulus/Hookshotwillaby stopped Bighab/IT3USN in 5.
Barbie and Cofari earned a victory by default as their opponents, Eolver and Okiewind7 failed to show for their fight....Which brings me to this..

When a team does not show for a fight, I assume you don't want to participate anymore. Every boxer hangs them up eventually....except really punch drunk people like Evander Holyfield. So if you fail to show, you won't be hearing from me again unless you pm me and let me know otherwise....And yes, my friends, we always have room for new blood!

And now onto the "Post Holiday Melee"....

how bout something new , unlimited has no skill, it really depends on luck of the draw whereas chained or adjacent deal more with skills(decison and attacks). pls think of this. My partner and i are 27-3 in chained or agjacent doubles yet 1-4 in unlimited how bout mixing this up instead of the same old thing or even think about different divisons, unlimited,chained,adjacent, maybe even escalating, flat, and no cards too!!!!!! please consider

Hey tja how about bringing it one step further?

My wife and I will challange you to a doubles game classic, adjacent, flat rate but the twist is it will not be on a doubles map. I will set up a singles game and we join in order my team, your team, my team and your team. NO FORTIFICATING YOUR TEAM MATE AT ALL. And it will be terminator so at least someone on the winning team gets points and then the winning team if they are both alive can deadbeat the rest of the game.

Thats the way we used to play doubles on the Zone.

First off, to clear up all these new suggestions...NO. This is the way we started and this is the way we will continue.If somebody else wants to start up a new-fangled terminator league then...Great! I'll probably join myself.
However, I am abiding by the rules which were set out when we started. It would be so uncool, not to mention unfair, to suddenly change the concept because"some" team has a bad record with unlimited fortification..I honestly, don't care. You know what the rules were when you signed up, now abide!
This is two doubles teams, head to head in an unlimited fortification, flat rate, sequential mode. By the way, the current champs are Fireside Poet and Dixie....and Great Kudos to them and former champs, Gotheart86/DavSav and Chard/Condor. They knew what it was all about and they did it nevertheless. They never once bitched or moaned, even in defeat.....Two teams, unlimited fortification, sequential turns, flat rate. This is THE LAW!
You can post any comments or suggestions that you like, but it will not change. Do you want a shot at the title? Then win your games and, if the time comes, win against Fireside Poet and Dixie.....Cos they are the Heavyweight Champions! That's just the way it is...

Speaking of defending champions...Let me speak of defending champions, Fireside Poet and Dixie who defended their title with a rather convincing KO of Angry Anderson and Matt2006 in the 5th round. They'll be defending their title next against Barbie and Cofari, who rightfully earned their shot at the crown by stopping the Semps in the 9th, after a close, bloody affair.
Former champions DavSav/Gotheart86 and Chard/Condor are back to their winning ways. The former dumped Team Gavin(Yes, that's me and Beck) in the 7th round and the latter did precisely the same to perennial contenders, D.Islerealbrowns and A Man's Part in the 8th.
Zorro and Vj worked their magic against Ronaldinho and Painbrain, stomping them into submission in the 4th.(Look out for these two, my friends. I suspect they might be the new Mike Tyson's of CC...They'll be fighting Bretzsky and Philbert in the next qualifying match.Winner gets next title shot!)
Bretzsky and Philbert were once again victorious, bitch slapping master chief and Julia Gulia on their way to glorious promises...
Resitnecdan and Andreij bested IT3USN/Steelplayin with a 10 round decision.(Next round IT3USN gets to take on his old buddy, former teamate Bighab, who also lost in his partner's MBohn2's debut via quick asskicking rd#4 to Allmighty/Invincible)

Casper/Nickfoxx made suprising work of AAfitz and CMillner in a short 4.
