Fucking hillarious. I just love it when people continue to trash the former President. It's really edgy and what not. Quite orriginal too.

Re: Longest Serving Democratic Senator Slams Obama on Power Grab
Rejoice, rejoice, rejoice! Bush is out, Obama is in, and a rightfully Democratic Congress is poised to pass a comprehensive stimulus package that will pull us out of the Great Depression II and put the Bush years behind us once and for all! It's as if the entire world has wheezed a sigh of relief. For the first time in my life, I am proud of my country.
But when I woke up this morning, the Repugs had already ruined it for me. It appears that the few remaining neocons in Congress have scuttled a key provision of the stimulus package that would've provided free contraception for ordinary Americans.
WHAT IN THE NAME OF GODDESS IS THEIR PROBLEM? WE WON THE ELECTION, DAMMIT, NOT THEM! AMERICANS VOTED UNANIMOUSLY FOR CHANGE LAST NOVEMBER, SO REPUBLICANS NEED TO EITHER STOP OBSTRUCTING OBAMA AND OBEY HIM, OR JUST SIT DOWN, SHUT UP, AND LET DEMOCRATS FIX THE MESS BUSH MADE!
And if there's one thing that can jump start an ailing economy, it's FREE RUBBERS!
Think about it. You lost your job. They've foreclosed on your home. You have nothing left in your pockets but a couple bucks and a handful of condoms. So you go downtown and pick up a 2-dollar whore to help you forget your troubles. The hooker gives your money to her pimp, who uses it to buy some bling at the pawn shop. The pawnbroker spends his money on some more expensive hookers, who are freelancing to pay their tuition at Berkeley. Their Gender Studies professym makes a downpayment on a new hybrid car. The car dealership buys more hyrids from the manufacturer to meet the rising demand. Autoworkers get a little extra in their paychecks. Once you subtract taxes and union dues, they have just enough left to go downtown a pick up a 2-dollar whore. The cycle begins anew.
Trickle-down Reaganomics are a failed philosophy, as the current state of our economy has shown. Trickle-UP economics will be the way of our Brave New World, but it won't work if Republicans don't get over their hang-ups about sex.

Also, did I mention how productive criticizing Bush continues to be? And relevant? One should not underestimate the relevance that criticizing the former President Bush will continue to have in the foreseeable future.luns101 wrote:Then just have fun with it. And of course the relevance to this thread. I'm glad nobody would try to derail the topic at hand...

What is there to say? "See, I told you so?" I've tried to tell you guys, there is no difference between Republican and Democrat. 2 sides of the same corrupt coin. Bush was a terrible President as far as the erosion of democracy in this country. Obama is continuing what "W" started. It's all in the game plan. You've been duped! How's it feel?

Having constant digs at a new President, who has had no time whatsoever to prove himself, is of course incredibly usefulGabonX wrote:Fucking hillarious. I just love it when people continue to trash the former President. It's really edgy and what not. Quite orriginal too.
If you cannot realise that the former President is implicit in creating many of the problems currently faced by the new one then you are a buffoon, dont you realise that current decisions are largely based on circumstance. Things must be looked at in context and in that respect Bush is still an integral part of the current equation, how is s criticism of him not both relevent and justifiable.
Re: Longest Surviving Senator Spams Obama's Inbox.
Accountability wasn't a big priority in the White House for the past two Presidential terms
and now that it's over, George Bush said, "I have no regrets." That's all fine and dandy...
after all what else would anyone expect him to say? It's history now and people can debate
his response to world events from now until the end of time.
to determine if it is an improvement. But... excluding how fucked the world economy is right
now, I'm still optomistic about the future. Screw all the petty two party bickering and bs...
I just hope there's enough cumulative mind power in Washington to figure this crap out, do
what is required to make the right choices and have the intestinal fortitude to get it done.

How about you choose, jay? According to you is the government as competent as a canine in your possession, or somehow managing to keep thousands quiet about their "plan"?

Ok Gabon this is seriously getting annoying. If you don't stop I'm gonna make a thread for every single article I find that says something good about Obama.

What is amazing is that people can't see this stuff for what it is. Seriously my 10 year old could run this country better that those doing it. Over a TRILLION dollars in bailout money infused into our economy is BOUND TO HAVE ADVERSE EFFECTS! And those doing it KNOW THIS. So the question is WHY? A one world government is why. See, you heard it here first. It's coming because the sheeple sleep. And anyone who knows anything about Bible prophesy knows that this is not only possible but inevitable.

That's a fair stance to take in a different thread, one about the former President. This thread is about a member of Obama's party who has voiced concern over the new Presidetn's power mongering, which has absolutely nothing to do with Bush. Instead of acknowledging that there may be an issue it seems that the decision has been to argue about a completely different issue which is a very weak approach.joecoolfrog wrote:Having constant digs at a new President, who has had no time whatsoever to prove himself, is of course incredibly usefulGabonX wrote:Fucking hillarious. For the record Obama has had time to do things. He has spent more money in a shorter amount of time than Bush did at any point durring his Presidency, all in the name of getting us out of debt.
Please do. I consider it important to read news from dissenting sources in order to truly be well informed. Even if every word in an article is a lie one is more knowledgeable after reading it in that they know what the opposition is saying.Simon Viavant wrote:Ok Gabon this is seriously getting annoying. If you can find a positive article about Obama with substance (ie. not referring to the hope or inspiration that he brings, historical precedence of his presidency, or his percieved ability as a public speaker) I would be impressed.

I'm sorta with you Jay. The government gives the people a Strawberry Ice Cream cone and tells them it's Vanilla. And everyone then agrees that it must be a Vanilla Ice cream cone.
Most of the time, I just don't know what to say? And it's not because htings are so crazy, it's because my neighbors eat this stuff up.
And that's what it is Gabon, there is nothing to say. There are like 5 of us here who agree that Obama is not the man the public thinks that he is. The rest? I dunno what they really think.
But I think that he is a fraud. And I'm a lib.

I actually agree with Gabon here as well. Obama has broken most of his campaign promises already, and what he has done to show the public trust has been fluff and lies. Gitmo, the stimulus, and climate change legislation for example. I just hope that he fails at his promise to tax coal out of production.joecoolfrog wrote:Having constant digs at a new President, who has had no time whatsoever to prove himself, is of course incredibly useful

havent we gone over the fact that you are a libertarian and not a liberal. Yeah you can post a link of a websters dictionary and pick out the one definition that you like that makes you seem like you could be a liberal. However, if you dont actually hold liberal positions in the political context in which you find yourself, which you by in large dont *all conspiracy theorizing aside* then you are in fact not actually liberal.

Sort of tonky, but even you must agree the word liberal, for all serious and vaguely academic purposes for discussions that don't involve political illiterates, the word liberal should be used in the proper, classical sense.got tonkaed wrote:havent we gone over the fact that you are a libertarian and not a liberal. I find those discussions dont really take place that often, so i find the more commonly understood associations just as appropriate. Anyone who is having the discussions you describe understands the definitions and is as a result unbothered by the way the term is presently used, or at least should be.
