How is this not a violation of each and every babysitting rule? Cooks join games, and then more experienced players tell them what to do, turn by turn. I thought this was more strategy or doubling up in team games to teach.

We are teaching team games as well. We offer advice on games, nothing has not been done 100 times over with or without the school. With the school thought we have a nice group of teacher who know the right way to play these games.

I would say that it is not necessarily the "right way to play" since people can argue that until they are blue in the face, but it is a very effective way of teaching.

There is the RIGHT way to play and the WRONG way to play. Generally most will agree on the CC way to win games. :)

i'm a veteran Risk player, finding i like CC better, but i've stopped winning - at all. i think i have the basics down, but i always seem to come out 3rd. I'm not a cook, and i'm not new to the concept, but i would like to improve. i'm also not premium and not able to be here at the same time every day. am i eligible for a little training?

thanks either way

I sent you a pm and put you in a classroom. look at who your classmates are and DO NOT join their games.

We really do not mentor in the school we do in game playing.

The student writes what he should dothen we write what we would do. then he chooses. Of course if he does it our way he advances faster.

hey all, I am somewhat new here - i love the game but I have mixed success.
I am starting to really like some boards now (world 2.1, senate, Apocalypse, Seige, Appreleggo, north america) and I am actually sick of the classic game now - thought that would never happen. I like freestyle because I am sometimes impatient, love team play, like flat rate and chained best (used to like escalating and unlimited), also like fog of war better than non. would love some training. I know I am weak at closing games. I often get to a good place and then i make a wrong step and down i go. I am grad student interested in teaching and learning as my research topics so when I advance, i would love to return the favor. My best,
jordan

Hi - have been playing for a while, but I think i'm spinning my wheels. Would appreciate some insight into how I could play smarter. I have few games going right now, but am interested in AoR help, as I always seem to get pummeled out of nowhere.

Thanks!

Ok...fair enough, sorry I missed that detail. I'm guessing that a solid strategic foundation can only help me improve in general...

New Recruits must earn a promotion to join Assassin games, Terminator games, team games, large games (6 or more players) and games on complex maps (they will be hidden from Join A Game and Game Finder listings). These restrictions do not apply to private games.

PM sent to you but remember till you finish 5 games they MUST be standard games

not sure you want the advice but here goes-- Don't play doodle earth.

Other than that we teach term escalating on Classic variations

Hi every1,

Having only recently joined CC, its great to be invited to the Society of Cooks & lookin' 4ward to learning some invaluable tips on the game.

Have played the original board game many years ago & had a chance to try the MicroProse PC game a few years back aswell.

Here to many enjoyable hours, weeks, months, years! playing & joining the CC community.
