New Enhancement - Tournament Link

I just noticed a minor link-related problem in one of my tourney games--the Bring It On!!! link goes to the old tourney thread, not the new one. Since that tourney's more of an ongoing league that isn't going to die any time soon, it might be nice to get the problem fixed now. To whom should I report this issue?

I think the inquiry goes to whichever thread was linked to originally for granting privileges. I don't know if this can be changed, nor if the time needed to code it is worth the effort for just a few tournaments that would be affected.

I'm sure when Lack built the code it was designed to take whichever thread is currently linked to the privileges. That particular tournament has had a couple of threads I think, and when it was changed, nobody had the designated thread changed in the privileges. The best way to resolve it (because coding it to fix it would be unreal) is to remove the privileges and regrant them linked to the proper thread.

The current games won't be fixed, but any games moving forward will be.

That does all make sense ... and yeah, it wouldn't necessarily be worth it if it's going to be a complex fix, but OP's fix seems pretty straightforward. Not a huge deal, really, just a convenience thing. I honestly didn't realize there had been earlier threads (never thought about it) until I clicked the link and saw the original.

When privileges are transferred between organizers (since Coleman started the tourney in question and Lufsen75 is running it now), is that a simple transfer, or do they get formally taken away and re-granted? (That's a question to satisfy my curiosity, really, and doesn't have a heck of a lot to do with the tournament link, which is still an awesome idea.)

OP's suggestion would be the rational action to take, but it probably won't work. I was first made aware of the problem by Godd, who is now running Tournament 100. He has a new thread/privs, but the link still goes to the original thread. Granted, I have not tested whether or not brand new privs (those given since this new update) would automatically link to the new thread, but my hunch is that they would not.

The most probable fix to this issue would be for lack to code the link to go to the most recent set of privileges, but I have no clue if that would be possible. The other option would be for the link to only work for those tournaments that have active privileges, but I don't think that's the best solution since it would deaden the links for completed tournaments.

I suggest testing it, Night Strike. Give yourself a set of privs for a current tournament and link it to a random thread and see what happens. Perhaps with the update it will work now, and it is just a matter of resetting them with the new code in place.
