Bad drop, bad dice, and bad cards killed Wisconsin in the Big 10 championship. Other than that they played pretty well.

Kudos to Villanova on a graceful defeat. Looking forward to the tourney after the run through the BigEast Tournament ... and of course the big W. :D

North Carolina comes back from an early deficit to win the ACC Championship. The Tarheels hope that this combined with their 2nd place regular season finish is enough to erase their rough start and will garner them a good seed!

All right everyone...at long last I've finally put the scoring formula out there for the NCAA tourney...it's below and will also stay posted under the conference tourney brackets.

I've run it through a ton of tests and it's basically a best 2 of 3 to prevent one bad drop from sending a team home. But for the geeks like myself, here's how it breaks down. :D

The selection committee must have been drunk to proclaim Houston as the CUSA champs. They had the same conference record I did, but lost to me (Illinois St.) in our one match-up in the regular season (Game 3778042). The conference tourney isn't over, but I'm in the finals (as soon as Amazzony takes her last turn I will finish her off), and Houston hasn't even finished it's quarter final game. Yet Houston is rewarded a 2 and I get a 9?

Now I know how teams feel when they are slighted by the committee.

I'm open to answering questions from coaches about the brackets...
For Illinois State, they dropped a bit because they were pretty much untested against top-20 teams. Their best out of league win was against Seton Hall, while Houston had wins over Bowling Green and Ohio State. The committee also felt that competing in the CUSA division was more difficult than the teams faced in the Valley Division.

So going 2-3 against ranked opponents vs 0-0 (untested I'll grant you) is the difference between a 9 and a 2? I'm not so upset about my spot as I am shocked that such a crummy team got a 2. I don't mean that as offensive to Wrexham, but his performance didn't warrant such a position.

Flex,

Can you update the settings for the neutral games. I know you have it posted somewhere in this forum but if it was on the bracket page it would be nice.

Thanks and GL in your games

Last thing then I'm done complaining. A no 2 seed should be one of the top 10 ranked teams. Clearly that's not the case here. If it were, my record against ranked teams would have been 1-0, not 0-0. Correct? So how can an unranked team get a 2 seed? It's unheard of.

I've really enjoyed the tournament by the way. I'm just giving you a hard time here.

It was close between those teams...Arizona got the nod by playing in the toughest conference and they had a few more "quality" wins than the Pack.

glad to see my boy lostatlimbo and xavier pick up an NIT bid. Vermont is pleased with its 15 seed, and is looking forward to hopefully springing a first round upset.
