I had thought that you would be notified....Good suggestion, should be fairly simple to implementbedub1 wrote:Concise description:Today is 2/19/2009. My premium membership expires on 2/27/2009. I figured I would have received some sort of notification... I should be informed before it runs out.Specifics:Maybe it should be other places too.

A day or two might be too late...as we keep getting reminded "real life does crop up". I would also point out that if this were to hit someone who might be in several tournaments, it would adversely affect not ONLY that person, but also ALL of their opponents as the games would be delayed waiting and then delayed some more to find replacements.sully800 wrote:I'm pretty sure it reminds you a day or two before hand because I just went through this last month.

Just got this email today, 4 days before it expires. I think it should have been sooner....but there is something to be said for too many messages just pissing people off...So we need to find the sweet middle spot...ConquerClub Email wrote:Hello bedub1,

But when it does run out, why can't you just buy premium again? I'm confused about how more warnings would help this. Running out of premium shouldn't matter until you need to join new games, and when you do you can simply renew the membership.Woodruff wrote:A day or two might be too late...as we keep getting reminded "real life does crop up". Yes too many warning will just bug me....but once it starts getting close maybe put a banner on the "join a game" and "start a game" pages.....sully800 wrote:But when it does run out, why can't you just buy premium again? Perhaps the warning could be 1 week before instead of 4 days before. But I would like to receive 1 warning maximum. This information is always available under your premium membership link, and its simple to renew at any time. I think a single warning is more than sufficient.
Absolutely, a way needs to be figured out to keep it from being annoying. But while I'm able to pretty much just load another $25 on whenever I need to, not everyone can do that. Some folks (particularly young folks) might need to save up a bit for it, and that wouldn't be much time...meanwhile, their tourney games are hosed.sully800 wrote:But when it does run out, why can't you just buy premium again? I take it this means you're not leaving this site completely now? Glad to hear it. Why the change of heart?Kotaro wrote:There's a warning afterwords, but just a PM a few days before, would be nice. Some of us live on a specific budget, and although $25 isn't a large amount, some of us like to keep everything on record, and quickly spending $25 out of nowhere would be annoying if you don't see it coming.
