Re: WWIII
Well, I'm not a mapmaker. I don't have the time, or the experience. I just thought that if someone who is up to the task could make a map like that, it would be cool.
Yeah, I was thinking a completely new world map. Uninhabitable territories (no actual land mass change, I think they did that in 2210 A.D. and I didn't like it), bonuses for holding Uranium deposits or something, nuclear submarine warfare, new names for countries, expanded countries, population bonuses, etc. And yes, I did rip off of some maps there. What are you going to do about it? Haha, just joking. Just thought they were some cool ideas.

Yes, I have. It is a great map, but how would you add in the moon territories?LYR wrote:A probable map for World War III. Possibly something similar to Risk 2210 A.D., if anyone has ever played it.

Re: WWIII
One more thing, the game is basted on being able to use commanders and being able to buy special cards with "energy". How would you be able to but all this into a map?

Re: WWIII
2210 has been worked on, and is copywrited. Between that and the special stuff, no one can get it to work.
A small map inset works for the moon. But the gameplay would have to be that of a standard game.
At any rate, this idea has been tried. One of the foundry mods could probably link you to a thread for it.

Re: WWIII
I'm a fanatic of 2210 myself and I own it...
I have given some though : Let put some space station on some location... Say they start by neutral control so we could not control it from the inital draw...
Create a moon mini-map with teritories and some aquatic colony...
Now let start from the principle that on December 21th, 2012, the pole will shift (reference to the end of the world as we know it) Let created a "smudged earth" say the continent/land mass has moved and we now have something a little different from current earth... Let put some Radio-active zone from the where ancient nuclear central exploded...
Also, we could also increased the water to represent the Warming effect
We could also created special territories like Space station that can send troop to moon... Special Port city that can send troop to water colonies... Special digging territories that can pass underneath earth and bypass radiactive zone...
So, what do you think about those idea ?
2010 is not really a risk game, it got the logo and basic rule but it so much more... The idea is here is to do a kind of post apocalytic-earth map with many twist ...

Re: WWIII
You dont need to be map maker to present these idea. You need to have story, what will these map look, what territory will have, what country, gameplay.by LYR » Sat Jan 31, 2009 6:31 am
