Go to Tools > Greasemonkey > Manage User Scritps... Select Map Rank GL from the left column, check the box "Also uninstall associated preferences" and uninstall the script. Then reinstall the script and you should not see this issue any longer.

Hey chip,

On the side bar, I just mapranked myself on Rail Australia. But, normal Australia came up as well. I thought it might be that they both have 'Australia' in it, but WWII Australia did not show up.

Well spotted, this is a bug. Same goes for Rail Europe.

Will be fixed in next version, thanks!

Ok, now you're rubbing it in, I've acknowledged the bug.

This will pick up mapnames contained within the mapname you selected.

Australia in Rail Australia, WWII Australia
Europe in Rail Europe, Europe 1914, WWII Europe
USA in Rail USA, USApocalypse

Don't worry, all will be fixed, it's all the same bug.

Sorry, didn't mean to rub it in, seeing as you didn't say Rail USA I didn't know if you knew about it or not. I didn't know about Europe until you said it, which made me check USA.

No problem, I am grateful you spotted it! (Nobody else has, so well done).

I've already fixed this locally so fix will be available soon.

1.0.9 Available

NOTE: You will have to download this version from here: http://userscripts.org/scripts/source/33912.user.js

as I made an error with the last version. (Fixed now)

Changes are minor:

Numbers for defeats on the map dropdown have been moved to after the map name.
Map rank boomkarking works with latest site changes.
Fix described by Gilligan above has been done.

Map Rank Question

Postby Woodruff on Mon Feb 16, 2009 3:39 pm

When I look at my map ranks, I see that for most of the maps that I have ZERO wins on, I am still rated as GLADIATOR for my map rank. That doesn't make much sense to me. What is the rationale behind that...is it just a math glitch or is it intentional?

That just means that the people you have played were of a higher score than you were.

Doesn't it seem...well...against logic that I can be both a "victim" and a "gladiator" at the same time on the same map?

Victim is talking about the number of people you have killed, it is a "kills/game" ratio. Gladiator is talking about the strength of the opponents in those games "average of rank of opponent/your rank" at the time of the point transfer.

Given that, wouldn't it be better just to give me an overall rating of "dumb as a box of rocks for taking on too many people he can't beat"? <laughing>
