Whats up with the ratings?

My overall rating does not agree with individual ratings



My ratings are as follows: Fair play: 4.7, Game play: 4.7 and Attitude: 4.7. Yet my overall rating is 4.6!, now, i'm no Carol Vordaman but even I know that the average of 4.7x3 is 4.7

The overall rating is calculated by taking the average of the three ratings left by one user, and then taking that average and the average of the ratings left by every other player and averaging those. This is why the numbers do not look like they work out all the time.

My guess is decimals. All your individual ratings are probably below 4.7, so although they round to 4.7, the average may end up rounding down to 4.6 (like 4.64 or something).

No. I meant that if six people left you ratings, the server averages the ratings left by each individual person and then averages the six averages.

Rating system is pointless and is serving no purpose. I had someone leave me a zero because they were going quickly and just missed the 5

You can't be left a "0" there is no such thing. If you don't have between 1-5 then they simply did not give you a rating at all, it doesn't count as a zero.

I meant 1 because if you don't check one box, but the others the rating saves...

No, if you don't select a star, it doesn't select a rating.

Correct...a "no stars" is effectively a "not applicable" and is not counted at all.
