categorize the tournaments

Post by HardAttack »

Categorize tournaments depending on if they are singles, doubles, triples, and/or quadruples and maybe mixed
  • In the last days of CC, i see a lot of new tournaments are created, and/or running. Because i am mostly interested in team tournaments but not very in singles then i think it will be helpfull if tournaments are categorized if they are team tournaments or singles. Maybe categorization might be handled in a hihgher resolution namely cathegorising them if they are doubles triples quadruples terminators assasins standards 1v1 and if all types are included in a tourney, then put it in mixed version class etc. Depends. I lose myself in the tournament page while seeking a spesific style of tournaments, namely doubles based tournaments. Names of tournaments not always imply that the tournament is double game based so it becomes a bit complex to search and find the right thing i am looking for.
Specifics:
  • Divide create-join tournament page in 6 or 7 parts, assign names to each and then let a new created and recruiting doubles tournament stays in doubles tournament section and triples one in triples section so on.
This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • In this way, we will have a more managable create-join tournament page.
  • In this way, players will not go inside every newly created tournament page and look if it is what the player is exactly looking for or not.
Regards.

Your idea would take way too many sub-sub forums, which is very hard to manage and for people to navigate. Organizers should include some form of tag in their title to make it easier for people to skim the forum looking for the tournament they wish to join. It would be helpful, but not really worth the time to actively mod to make sure it happens. It's voluntary by the organizer.

There is only one page in the Create/Join forum most days, it isn't hard to navigate at all if you ask me.
