Yes obviously we need that.
Then we could add some funky musics when in games. Then the national hymne of each countries that the players are from, in the game. Then souds effetcs everything you move your mouse.
Why not the background of a restaurant with glasses clinking, poeple laughing and talking? We could also add a screen where it shows a band playing, and obviously the music going with it.
That would seriously NOT crowd anything...
Greatest idea.

Re: add sound effects to the game
It looks like your forgot to delete a few things.
Anyways, this has been suggested, and thankfully, rejected. Too many sites have annoying music and sounds...I often just surf the web without sound now because of it.

I also wouldn't be a fan of sounds as they would add to loading time.

I don't even own computer speakers. When I need to hear something I just plug in my headphones.AndyDufresne wrote:It looks like your forgot to delete a few things.Anyways, this has been suggested, and thankfully, rejected. Sound Effects?
Having posted this under 'General', it has been suggested that this topic should be listed under 'Suggs and Bugs'. For those who've already seen this, please forgive me.
I am very new to this wonderful thing called Conquer Club. I am also very impressed with the level of thoroughness of the whole site. My previous experience of 'Risk' on the internet is limited to the relatively simple 'Attack' game on the Facebook site. But it did serve a purpose in that it rekindled my interest in the game which I played many years ago.
But in spite of the fantastic depth which Conquer Club offers - and really there is no real comparison; there is something the Facebook version does better! It has simple but very effective sound effects of explosions when attacks are made.
I wonder if one's gaming experience on Conquer Club would be further enhanced by adding an equivalent? -An optional extra 'add-on' with some Greasemonkey code perhaps so that those who prefer silence won't require ear plugs!?
-Given the level of input you get from so many people here on this site, I've little doubt that some clever code writer could create different types of sound effects for different events.

Can you give a argument for sound? I am not so sure I would like weird noises every time I assault...zeros wrote:Having posted this under 'General', it has been suggested that this topic should be listed under 'Suggs and Bugs'. For those who've already seen this, please forgive me.

To sailorseal:
Yes, I can give an argument for sound.
If it is an add on you would not get it unless you wanted it. And I for one, would like it! -For people like you who do not want it, it would make NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL!
Now can you give me an argument why it should not be an option?
(Before you answer, remember that if it is an add on, like BOB or the Dice Analyzer, it will make NO DIFFERENCE to people like you who choose not to install it).

Sailorseal: I wasn't spamming you, I was answering your question. If you don't like getting an answer don't ask a question.
And if you understand Greasemonkey, you'll know that your comment was irrelevant.
P.S. I wasn't (and am still not) being rude.
Sailorseal I notice you edited your post above; I have therefore edited this response to it. I hope that this matter and your incorrect suggestion about me to another member are now settled, thankyou.

Re: Sound Effects?
If you would like this to be an add-on, someone must code it. To find someone to code this for you please visit the Plugins & Add-Ons forum.zeros wrote:To sailorseal:
